Thereupon it is commanded the sheriff of Somerset County that Immediately he should Summoons
the afsd Rencher Roberts & Mary his wife if they should be found in his bailywick that all Excuses
Set apart they should be and appear before the Justices of his Lordships County Court of Somerset now
Sitting at Princess Ann Town this Instant March To answer unto the petition afsd
And afterwards in the same Court came the afsd petitioners in their proper persons & the sheriff To
witt Ephraim Wilson now here returned that he had Summoned the afsd Rencher Roberts &
Mary his wife To answer unto the petition afsd as to him it was Commanded &c
   Whereupon the Said Gowan Right and Francis White Came here into Court in their Proper Persons an
but the afd. Rencher Roberts and Mary Roberts altho Solemnly Called Came not Thereupon the petition
afd. being Read and heard and fully understood it is Considered that the afd. Gowan Right and Francis
White Give Sery According to Act of Assembly for the afd. decd. persons Estate pay &c
      Thereupon the Said Gowan Right and Francis White together with William Hayward &
Nehemiah Bozman their Securitys all Present here in Court in their Proper Person Acknowledged
themselves indebted unto his Lordship the Lord Propry of Maryland in the Sum of five hundred
Pounds Current Money of Maryland of their Bodys Goods or Chattles Lands and Tenements
Joyntly and Severally to the use of his Said Lordship his heirs and Successors to be made and
Levied if it happen that the Said Gowan Right and Francis White do not deliver up
and make payment of all Goods and Chattles Which Shall Come to their hands and possession
by Virtue of or under Such Order as the Justices of the County Court afd. Shall make in Relation
to the delivering up of the Estate of the afd. Mathew Wallace to them the afd. Gowan and Francis or
to pay the full Value of the Said Goods and Chattles as the Laws of this Province Require to Any
Person or Persons who have a Right to demand the Same when they Shall be thereto Lawfully
Required &c       Thereupon it is Ordered by the Court here that the afd. Rencher
Roberts and Mary Roberts deliver up unto the afd. Gowan Right and Francis White
all the Estate Personall that they became Security for the afd. Mary Wallace als Roberts
upon the Administration of the Estate a Certain Mathew Wallace decd. &c

John Parker Appointed Standard keeper for Somerset County he Giveing Security According to
Act of Assembly in Such Provided &c    Thereupon the Said John Parker With William
Skervin and Isaac Coulbourn of Somerset County Planters his Securitys all present here in Court in
their Proper Persons Acknowledged themselves Indebted to his Lordship the Lord Propry in fifty
Pounds Sterling Money of Great Brittain of their bodys Goods or Chattles Lands and tenements
Joyntly and Severally to the use of his Said Lordship to be made and Levied if it happen that the
Said John Parker do not keep Safe the Standard of Somerset County that is to Say all Such Weights Scales
and Measures as he Shall Receive into his hands and possession and the Same Redeliver when thereto
Legally Required &c.       Ordered that Wm. Skervin deliver up unto John Parker Standard keeper
                                              that he hath in his possession that doth
the Scales and Sundry Weights and Measures ^ belonging to Somerset County &c

           On the 28th Day of December 1762 Came Mr Thomas Holbrooke of Somerset and made Oath
that he would well and truly Serve his Lordship the Lord proprietary in the office of Deputy com
-missary of Somerset County that he will do Equal Right To the poor and To the Rich, so for as concerns
his said Office and according To the Laws and presidents of this province that he will not delay nor hinder
right nor Justices To anyone in his said Office that he will Increase no fees but be content with the Fees
limited by Law and in all things well and truly behave himself in his aforesaid Office To his Lordship
and all persons Concerned there with according To the Best of his Skill and knowledge untill he shall be Lawfully
discharged thereof                                                                             Ths Jones
