the Court now here of the assent of the parties af^d adjudged which certain damages in the whole Amount
To fourteen pounds Six shillings & four pence farthing &
270 pounds of Tobacco & the af^d Isaac in Mercy &^c

His Lordship

@ &NBSP;&NBSP; We the Grand Jurors for the body of Somerset County do present Martha Mungar of the

Martha Mungar s^d County for Bearing a bastard Child William Hath Informer James Polk foreman

Thereupon it is Commanded the sheriff of Somerset County that he should take the afs^d Martha Mungar if
she should be found in his Bailywick & her should Safe keep So that he might have her body before the Justi
-ces of his Lordship's County Court of Somerset To be held at princess Ann Town the third tuesday of March An
-no Dom. 1763 To answer unto his said Lordship of and concerning the presentment af^d &^c
Att which day here Came the af^d Martha Mungar by Josiah Polk her Attorney and had a hearing of the
presentment af^d Saith that the cannot deny but that she is guilty of the premises in the presentment
af^d. above upon her Imposed in Manner & form as by the presentment af^d above against her Supposed but
will not declare the father of the child afs^d but is willing to pay a Double fine for the same according to
act of assembly in Such Case provided &^c Whereupon all & Singular the premises being Seen & by
the court fully understood it is considered that the af^d Martha Mungar for the offence afs^d above mentioned be ta
-ken &^c which said Martha Mungar present here in Court as af^d is fined for the premises & offence afs^d the sum of
three pounds Cur^t Money which she paid to the sheriff for the use of the county &^c
Whereupon the said Martha Mungar is ordered to give Security To save & keep Indemnified the Justices of Somer
-set County Court from all Costs charges & Troubles which may accrue by means of the birth of the bastard child af^d
