Robert Hopkins	body of Somerset County upon their Oath present that Robert Hopkins Late of Somerset pa

-rish in the County af^d on the XX Day of November in the Year of our Lord one thousand Seven hundred Sixty
and Two with force & arms at the parish af^d in the County af^d in and upon a certain William Nutter in the
peace of God and the said Lord prop^ry then and there being an assault did make and him the said William
then and there did Beat wound and Ill Treat So that of his Life it was much dispaired and other harms to
him the said William then and there did To the great damage of the said William against the peace of his
Lordship the Right Hon^rble the Lord prop^ry that now is and his good Rule and Government and So forth
Thereupon it is commanded the sheriff of Somerset County that he should take the af^d Rob^t Hopkins if &^c To answer &^c
And now To wit at a court of his Lordship the Lord prop^ry held at princess Ann Town the third tuesday of March
                               According to a Certain Recognizance by him before Entered into                                               af^d
Anno Dom. 1763 Came the af^d Robert Hopkins in his proper person ^ & had a hearing of the Indictment ^ Saith
that he will not Contend with his Lordship but for the saveing Costs Trouble & Expences about the premises
Submits himself at Fine with his said Lordship & puts himself upon Favour of the court &^c
Whereupon all and Singular the premises being Seen & by the Court fully understood it is considered that
the af^d Robert Hopkins for the offence af^d above mentioned be taken &^c       Which said Robert present
here in Court as af^d is fined the sum of one shilling Cur^t money which he paid to the sheriff for the use of his
Lordship &^c

Eunice Alpha	propry that now is who for the same Lord propry in this part prosecuteth doth Come here into the

Court of the same Lord prop^ry held for Somerset County To wit at princess Ann Town in the same county before
Sampson Wheatley and others his Associates the said Lord prop^ry his Justices of the same County Court and
for the same Lord prop^ry doth give the same Justices here to understand and be informed that Eunice Olphey
Late of Stepney parish in the county af^d Spinster the XXX Day of Jan^ry in the Year of our Lord one thousand
Seven hundred Sixty & Two at the parish afs^d in the County afs^d did Commit Fornication with a certain Person
unknown and did permit the Same unknown person to have carnal Knowledge of her body and a bastard
Child on the body of her the said Eunice then & there beget To the High displeasure of Almighty God to the Evil

rule and Government & against the Form of the act of assembly in such case made and provided and

the Court here in the premises and that due process of Law in this part may be made against the said Eunice
