Lord propry that now is who for the same Lord propry in this part prosecuteth doth come here into the county court
of the same Lord propry held for Somerset County this XV day of March in the Year of our Lord one thousand
Seven hundred Sixty and three before Sampson Wheatley Esqr & others his associates the said Lord propry his
Justices of the same county Court & for the same Lord propry doth give the same Justices here to understand
and be informed that Charity Jones Late of Stepney Parish in the county afd Spinster the XX Day of march
in the Year of our Lord one thousand Seven hundred Sixty and Two at the parish afd in the county afd did
committ Fornication with a certain person unknown and did permit the same unknown person to have
Carnal Knowledge of her body and a bastard child on the body of her the said Charity then and there did
beget To the High displeasure of almighty God to the Evil Example of all others in Such case offending
contrary To the peace of the said Lord propry that now is his good Rule and against the form of the act of
assembly in such case made & provided and So forth And Whereupon the same Attorney of the same
Lord propry for the Lord propry prays advice of the court here in the premises & that due process of Law
may in this part be made against the said Charity to answer of and Upon the premises & So forth
Thereupon it is commanded the sheriff of Somerset County that he should take the afd Charity Jones
if &c To answer &c         And now to witt at a court of his Lordship held at princess Ann
Town the third tuesday of March and Year afd Came the afd Charity Jones in her proper person and
According to a Certain Recoge. by her and her Sery in that part before Acknowledged And
had a hearing of the Information afd Saith that She cannot deny but that she is guilty of the premises
in the Information afd above upon her imposed in manner and form as by the Information afd a
-bove against her supposed and maketh Oath that Robert Parsons is the father of the child for
which she stands informed against & is willing to pay her fine for the same &c
Whereupon all and Singular the premises being Seen & by the court fully understood it is consider
-ed that the afd Charity Jones for the offence afd be taken &c which said Charity Jones present here
in Court as afd is fined for the offence afd the sum of thirty shillings Curt Money which she paid to
the sheriff for the use of the county &c

@    Somerset To wit Be it Remembered that George Hayward Gent Attorney of the Right
Robert Parsons    Honrble the Lord propry that now is who for the same Lord propry in this part prosecuteth
doth come here into the county court of the same Lord propry held for Somerset County To wit at princess
Ann Town in the same County the XV Day of March in the Year of our Lord one thousand Seven hundred
Sixty & three before Sampson Wheatley Esqr and others his associates the said Lord propry his Justices of the
same County Court & for the said Lord propry doth give the same Justices here to understand & be informed that
Robert Parsons Late of Stepney parish in the County afd planter on the XV Day of March in the Year
of our Lord one thousand Seven hundred Sixty & Two at the parish afd in the county afd did Commit Fornica
-tion with a certain Charity Jones and a bastard Child on the body of the said Charity then and there did
