A copy of ye. foregoing declation was made and sent to be served on ye. Deft. in order
for Speedy Tryall    Att which day here Came ye. afd. Benjamin Fransway by
                                    afd.
William Hayward his atty. ^ & ye. sherriffe to wit John Dennis Gent now here
returned that he had taken ye. afd. John Cox whose Body here at this day
he had ready to Answer ye. afd. Benjamin Fransway of ye. afd. Plea as to him
it was Commanded & further the same sherriff returned that he had served
ye. afd. John Cox with a copy of ye. foregoing Declaration according to Act
of Assembly in such Case provided &c
   Whereupon the said John Cox at ye. prayer of ye. afd. Benjamin Fransway is
adjudged to give special Bail to the action afd.    Thereupon A certain Jessey Dashiell
of Somerset County Planter Present here in Court in his proper person undertook for
the said John Cox that if it should happen that judgment in ye. plea afd. should
be rendered for ye. said Benjamin against the afd. John or that he the said John

afd. Benjamin the judgment of ye. Court thereupon or render his Body in Execution
of such judgment to ye. Prison of ye. sherriffe of ye. County afd. in satisfaction
thereof or that he the said Jessey Dashiell will do the same for him &c.
And ye. afd. John Cox by Samuel Wilson his Atty. Comes and Defends ye force &
Injury when &c. And prays Leave thereof to Imparle here untill next Court to
be held at Princes Ann Town ye third Tuesday of June then next following

& he hath it & ye. same day is given to ye. ^ Benjamin here also &c.
   Att which day here Came as well ye. afd. Benjamin as ye. afd. John by their Attys. afd. &
hereupon &c. said John prays further Leave thereof to Imparle here untill next Court to
be held at Princes Ann Town ye. third Tuesday of August then next following &
he hath it & ye. same day is given to ye. afd. Benjamin here also &c
   Att Which day here Came as well ye. afd. Benjamin as ye. afd. John by their Att[ys.]
afd. And hereupon ye. said John prays further Leave thereof to Imparle here untill
next Court to be held at Princes Ann Town ye third Tuesday of November then next
following & he hath it & ye. same day is given to ye afd. Benjamin here also &c
   Att which Day here Came as well ye. afd. Benjamin as ye. afd. John by their Atty[s]
afd. And hereupon ye. said John prays further Leave thereof to Imparle here untill
Next Court to be held at Princes Ann Town ye. third Tuesday of March then
next following & he hath it & ye. same day is given to ye. afd. Benjamin [illegible]
there also &c
   Att which day here Came as well ye. afd. Benjamin as ye. afd. John by their
Attys. afd. And hereupon ye. said John prays further Leave thereof to Imparle here

himself in manner & form as ye. afd. Benjamin above against him hath
