propry prays advice of the court here in the premisses and that due process of Law may in this part be made against
the said Naomy to answer of and upon the premisses and so forth
      Thereupon it is commanded the sheriff of somerset county that Immediately he should take the afd. Naomi Kelsick if she
should be found in his Bailywick and her should safe keep so that he might have her Body before the Justices of his
Lordships county court of Somerset now sitting at princess Ann Town this instant November to answer unto his said
Lordship of and concerning the information afd. &c
      Att which day here came the afd. Naomi Kelsick in her proper person and had a hearing of the Information afd.
saith that she cannot deny but that she is guilty of the premisses in the information afd. mentioned upon her imposed in
manner and form as by the information afd. above against her supposed and maketh oath that Randal Long is the father
of the child for which stands informed against but has nothing to pay her Fine withal &c
   Whereupon all and singular the premisses being Seen and by the court fully understood it is considered by the court
here that the afd Naomi Kelsick for the premisses and offence afd. in the information afd. be taken &c which said
Naomi Kelsick present here in court in her proper person is fined for the offence afd. the sum of thirty shillings
current money of Maryland but for as much as the Said Naomey Kelsick hath not wherewithall
to pay her fine for the Offence afd. It is Considered by the Court here that the afd. Neomey Kelsick
be whipt at the Publick Whiping post at Princes Ann Town with Thirty Stripes on the Bare
Back well Laid on untill the Blood Appear And that Ephraim Wilson high Sheriff of Somerset
County doe thereof Immediate Execution &c    And afterwards in the Same Court the afd. Sheriff
And Returned that he had Done thereof Immediate Execution by Whiping the afd. Neomy
Kelsick at the Publick Whiping post at Princes Ann Town afd. on her Bare back with thirty
Stripes According to the Judgement afd. Rendred &c

John Milbourn    Somerset fst Frederick absolute Lord & propry of the provinces of Maryland and Avalon Lord Baron of
Commission &    Baltimore &c To Henry Schoolfield Elias White Teague Riggan and William Adams of somerset county
   Affidavits    Gentlemen Greeting Know ye that we have appointed you or any three or two of you to be our
commissioners to Examine Evidences on behalf of a certain John Milbourn of somerset county in Relation to the Bounds
of a Tract of Land called prices Grove or the Bounds of any other Lands on which the same may depend we therefore
require you or any three or two of you at some time and place as to you or any three or two of you shall seem convenient
you meet on the afd. Land of prices Grove or any other Lands on which the bounds of the said Land may depend you first
haveing taken your Oaths on the holy Evangelist of Almighty God & their cause to come before you or any three or two
of you all such Evidences as shall be to you or any three or two of you Nominated by the said Complainant or
defendant & that you or any three or two of you Examine them upon their Corporall Oaths to be by you or any three
or two of you administred on the holy Evangelist of Almighty God in the presents of the complainant or deft if any
touching the truth or Remembrance of their Knowledge or any thing that may Relate to the cause afd. & that Reducing the
several Depositions into writing you send the same with this our commission under your or any three or two of your

hands & Seals to us to our county court of somerset with all convenient Speed Witness Sampson Wheatly ^ one of our
Justices of our Said Court ye 20th day of Augt in the 12th Year of our Dominion &c Anno Dom. 1762
And now to wit at a court of his Lordship held at princess Ann Town the third tuesday of November being the 16th day of the same
month Anno Dom. 1762 before the Justices thereof came Elias White and Teague Riggan two of the Gentlemen Nominated
in the within commission and returned the same Endorsed in manner following with the several Depositions thereto annexed
September 27th 1762 Then personally came before me Samuell Addams one of his Lordships Justices of the peace in and
for the county of somerset the within named Elias White and Teague Riggin and was qualifyed to Execute the within
commission according to an act of assembly in such Cases Lately made and provided       Samuel Addams
Somerset county to Witt Depositions of Witnesses taken by us the subscribers the 21st Day of October Anno Dom. 1762 on a
Tract of Land called Prices Grove being part of the afd. Tract of Land in Possestion of John Milbourn, as follows
Somerset county to witt the deposition of Caleb Milbourn Senr aged fifty and five years or there abouts deposeth and saith
that about thirty six years past a certain John Brittingham Jenr [?] informed this deponant that he was a chain carrier at
the Runing of a certain Tract of Land called prices grove when in dispute between Ralph Milbourn Senr and Samuel Collins
Senr [?] and that there was at that time when the aforesaid John Brittingham was chain carrier a Jury of twelve men sheriff and county
surveyor Laying off the af Land called prices Grove and the afd. John Brittingham informed this Deponant that upon the end of a point
of high Land near the marsh the afd. Jury ordered a post to be set down as a third Bounder of the afd. Land called Prices Grove and this Deponant fur
-ther saith that upon the afd. point of high Land Near the Marsh he the said Deponant saw an Oak marked with sixteen notches and has
