Life it was much dispaired and other harms to him the said John then and there did to the great damage of the said John and against the peace
[of] his Lordship the Right Honble the Lord propry that now is his good Rule and Government and so forth
      Thereupon it is commanded the sheriff of somerset county that Immediately he should take the afd. William Cottingham if he should take the
afd. William Cottingham if he should be found in his Bailywick and him should safe keep so that he might have his body before the Justices
of his Lordships county court of somerset now sitting at princess Ann Town this Instant November to answer unto his said Lordship
of and concerning the Indictment afd.
      And afterwards in the same Court came the afd. William Roach in his proper person and had a hearing of the Indictment afd. saith that
he will not contend with his Lordship but for the saveing Costs Labour and Expences about the premisses submits himself at Fine with this
[s]aid Lordship and puts himself upon favour of the court &c            Whereupon all and Singular the premisses being Seen & by the
court fully understood it is considered by the court here that the afd. William Cottingham for the offence afd. above mentioned be taken &c
which said William Cottingham present here in court as afd. is fined for the premisses and offence afd. the sum of one shilling Curt
Money which he paid to the sheriff for the use of his Lordship &c

@    Somerset to wit the Jurors for his Lordship the Right Honble the Lord propry that now is for the Body of Somerset county
Betty Gallander    upon their Oath present that Betty Gallander late of Stepney Parish in the county afd. Planter on the xxx day of
Septr in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred sixty & two with force and arms at the parish afd. in the county afd. in and upon
a certain Betty Hearn in the peace of God and the said Lord propry then and there being an assault did make and her the said
Betty then and there did wound and Ill treat so that of her life it was greatly dispaired & other Harms to the said Betty then & there
did to the great damage of the said Betty Hearn and against the peace of his Lordship the Right Honble the Lord propry that
now is his good Rule & government & so forth                 Thereupon it is commanded the sheriff of somerset county that Imme
-diately he should take the afd. Betty Gallander if she should be found in his Bailywick and her should safe keep so that he might
have her body before the Justices of his Lordships county court of somerset now sitting at princess Ann Town this instant November
to answer unto his said Lordship of and concerning the Indictment afd.            And afterwards in the same court came the
afd. Betty Gallander in her proper person and had a hearing of the Indictment afd. saith that she will not contend with his Lordship

Michael Owens    upon their Oath present that Michael Owens late of somerset Parish in the county afd. planter on the xx day of Septr in
the year of our lord one thousand seven hundred sixty and two with force and arms at the parish afd. in the county afd. in and upon a
certain Margaret Willis in the peace of God and the said Lord propry then And there being an assault did make and her
the said Margaret then and there did beat wound and Ill Treat so that of her Life it was much dispaired and Other harms
to her the said Margaret then and there did to the great damage of the said Margaret and against the peace of his Lordship
the Right Honble the Lord propry that now is his good Rule and Government and so forth
        Thereupon it is commanded the sheriff of somerset county that Immediately he should take the afd. Michael Owens if
he should be found in his Bailywick and him should safe keep so that he might have his body before the Justices of his Lord
-ships county court of somerset Now sitting at princess Ann Town this Instant November to answer unto his said Lordship
of and concerning the Indictment afd.              And afterwards in the same court came the afd. Michael Owens in his pro
-per person and had a hearing of the Indictment afd. saith that he will not contend with his Lordship but for the saveing
Costs Labour and Expences about the premisses submits himself at Fine with his said Lordship and puts himself
upon favour of the court &c Whereupon all and singular the premisses being seen and by the court fully understood it is considered
by the court here that the afd. Michael Owens for the offence afd. above mentioned be taken &c    which said Michael Owens
present here in court as afd. is fined for the premisses and offence afd. the sum of ten shillings which he paid to the sheriff
for the use of his Lordship &c

@    Somerset to wit Be it Remembered that George Hayward Gent Attorney of the Right Honble the Lord propry
Neomy Kelsick    that now is who for the same Lord propry in this part prosecuteth doth come here into the county court
of the same Lord propry held for somerset county to wit at princess Ann Town in the same county court before Isaac Handy Esqr and
others his Associates the said Lord propry his Justices of the same county court and for the same Lord propry doth give the
same Justices here to understand and be Informed that Naomy Kelsick late of Stepney parish in the said County of somerset the

xxx day of Aprill in the year of Our Lord one thousand seven hundred sixty and ^ at the parish afd. in the county afd. did commit For
-nication with a certain person unknown and did permit the same unknown person to have carnal knowledge of her Body and a bastard
Child on the Body of her the said Naomy then and there did beget to the great displeasure of Almighty God the Evil Example of
of all others in such case offending contrary to the peace of the said Lord propry that now is his good Rule & Government and Against
the forms of the acts of assembly in such case made and provided and so forth    And Whereupon the same Attorney of the same Lord
