apprentice he shall demean himself towards his said Master and all his during the term afd.
In consideration of which service the said George Howard present here in court in his proper person cove
-nanteth with the Justice of the same court in court judicially sitting in Manner and form following
that is to say that he the said George Howard shall and will during the Term afd. Learn his said
Apprentice the trade of a Taylor & to Read write & cypher as far as the Rule of three Inclusive and
at the Expiration of his servitude give him a new suit of Cloaths over and above his common wearing
cloaths & a Taylors Goose and shears and likewise find and provide for his said apprentice meat drink
washing lodging and cloathing sufficient for such an apprentice to have and Wear during the Term
afd.       Whereupon the said George Howard is ordered to give security to comply with the convenants afd.
Thereupon the said George Howard Together with Lazarus Langford & Henry Schoolfield of somerset county
planters his securitys all present here in court in their proper persons acknowledged themselves Indebted
unto the afd. Isaac Addams in thirty pounds Curt Money of Maryland of their Body's Goods or Chattels
Lands and Tenements joyntly and severally to the use of the said Isaac Addams his heirs and assigns to be

made and levied if it happen that ^ George Howard do not during the term afd. Learn his said apprentice the
                               to
trade of a Taylor and ^ read write and cypher as far as the Rule of three Inclusive and at the Expiration
                     do not
of his servitude ^ give him a new suit of cloaths over and above his common wearing cloaths and a
Taylors goose and shears and do not likewise find and provide for his said Apprentice Meat drink
washing lodging and cloathing sufficient for such an apprentice to have and wear during the Term afd

Charles James
   bound to    Charles James an orphan of his own free consent is bound out by the court here An
Benjn Venables    apprentice according to act of assembly in such case provided unto Benjn Venables of somer
-set county blacksmith until he the said Charles James should arrive at the age of twenty one
years the said Charles James to serve his said Master the full Term afd. during which Term the said appren
-tice his said Master well and faithfully he shall serve his secrets keep his commandments Law-
-fully and honestly Every where willingly he shall doe and in all things as a good and faithfull
apprentice he shall demean himself towards his said Master and all his during the term afd.
      In consideration of which service the said Benjamin Venables present here in court in
his proper person covenanteth with the Justices of the same court in court judicially sitting in
Manner and form following that is to say that he the said Benjamin Venables shall and will
during the term afd. Learn his said apprentice the trade of a Blacksmith & to Read write and cyph
-er as far as Division inclusive and at the Expiration of his servitude give him a new Coat &
Breeches of Kersey or Narrow Broad Cloth over and above his common Wearing cloaths and like
-wise find and provide for his said apprentice Meat Drink washing lodging and cloathing sufficient
for such an apprentice to have and wear during the Term afd. Whereupon the said Benjamin Venables
Together with Joseph Venables & Nehemiah Bozman of somerset county planters his security's all present

thirty pounds curt money of Maryland of their bodies goods or Chattels Lands and Tenements joyntly
and severally to the use of the said Charles James his heirs and assigns to be made and levied if it hap
-pen that the said Benjamin Venables do not during the Term afd. Learn his said apprentice the Trade
of a Blacksmith and to read write and cypher as far as Division Inclusive and at the Expiration of
his servitude do not give him a new coat & breeches of Kersey or Narrow Broad cloth over and above
