Same day is Given to the afd. Ezekeill here also &c
           Att which day here Came as well the afd. Ezekiell Mathis as the afd. Elijah Mathews by their Attorneys
afd. And hereupon the Said Elijah prays further Leave thereof to Imparle here untill next Court to be held at
Princes Ann Town the third Tuesday of June then next following and he hath it and the Same day is given to
the afd. Elij Ezekiell here also &c. Att which day here Came as well the afd. Ezekiell Mathis as the afd. Elijah
Mathis by their Attorneys afd. And hereupon the Said Elijah prays further Leave thereof to Imparle here untill
Next Court to be held at Princes Ann Town the third Tuesday of August then next following and he hath it and
the Same day is Given to the afd. Ezekiell here also &c
                Att which day here Came as well the afd. Ezekiell Mathis as the afd. Elijah Mathews
by their Attorneys afd. And hereupon the Said Elijah as before defends the force and Injury when &c. And Saith
that he Cannot deny the Action afd. of the afd. Ezekiell Mathews nor but that the Writing Obligatory afd.
is the deed of him the Said Elijah nor but that he Owes the afd. Ezekiell the afd. Seventy Eight pounds Curt Money
in Manner and form as the afd. Ezekiell Above Against him hath declared
             Therefore it is Considered that the afd. Ezekiell Mathews Recover Against the afd. Elijah
Mathews his Debt afd. and his Damages by Occasion of the detention of that Same debt to
302 :                                               Pounds of Tobacco to the Same Ezekiell of his Assent by the Court here
Adjudged And the afd. Elijah in Mercy &c

   Saml. Adams    Command was Given to the Sheriff of Somerset County that he Should Take James

@    Lawless Late of Somerset County Carpinter Otherwise Called I James Lawless of Somerset County in
SW    James Lawless    the Province of Maryland Carpinter if he Should be found in his Bailywick and him Should
Safe keep so that he might have his body before the Justices of his Lordships County Court of Somerset to be held at
Princes Ann Town the third Tuesday of March Anno Dom. 1762 to Answer unto Stephen Mills Assignee of
                                                     Case
According to Act of Assembly in Such ^ Provided of Samuel Adams of A plea that he Render him the full and Just Sum
of Twenty One pound Curt Money of Maryland which to him he Owes and unjustly detains &c. And the Same day is
given to the afd. Stephen here &c.    att which day here Came the afd. Stephen Mills Assignee afd. by his Attorney
afd. And the Sheriff to witt Ephraim Wilson now here Returned that he had taken the afd. James Lawless whose body
here at this day he had Ready to Answer the afd. Stephen Mills of the afd. plea as to him it was Commanded
             Whereupon the Said James Lawless at the prayer of the afd. Stephen Mills is Adjudged
to Give Special Bail to the Action afd. Thereupon a Certain Saml. Wilson of Somerset County Gent present here in
Court in his proper person undertook for the Said Stephen Mi James Lawless and Assumed upon himself that
if it Should happen that Judgment in the plea afd. Should be Rendred for the Said Stephen Mills Against the
afd. James Lawless or that he the Said James Should be therein Convict that then he the Said James Should
pay and Satisfie unto the afd. Stephen the Judgment of the Court thereupon or Render his body in Execution of
Such Judgment to the prison of the Sheriff of the County afd. in Satisfaction thereof or that he the Said Saml Wilson
will do the Same for him &c       Whereupon the Said James Lawless puts in his place Samuel Wilson Gent Atty
at Law Against the afd. Stephen Mills in the afd. plea       And thereupon at the prayer of the parties afd. day is to them
now here Given untill next Court to be held at Princes Ann Town the third Tuesday of June then next following
in the State that now Saveing to the parties afd. &c
           Att which day here Came the parties afd. by their Attorneys afd. And thereupon Saml. Wilson Speciall
Bail of the afd. James prays that for his Indemnity he may be discharged of and from his Manucaption and Bail piece
Entred into fo rthe Said James Whereupon the Said Samuel of his Manucaption and Bail piece afd. is discharged &c.
Thereupon Came here into Court a Certain Joseph Dashiell of Somerset County Gent and undertook for the Said
James Lawless and Assumed upon himself that if it Should happen that Judgment in the plea afd. Should
be Rendred for the Said Mills Against the afd. Lawless or that he the Said Lawless Should be therein Convict
that then he the Said Lawless Should pay and Satisfie unto the afd. Mills the Judgment of the Court thereupon
or Render his body in Execution of Such Judgment to the prison of the Sheriff of the County afd. in Satisfaction
thereof or that he the Said Joseph Dashiell will do the Same for him &c
      Whereupon the Said Mills declared Against the afd. Lawless in the plea afd. in form following Vizt
