@	the Lord Propry that now is who for the Same Lord Propry in this part prosecuteth doth Come
Elizth. Martin	here into the County Court of the Same Lord Propry held for Somerset County to wit at Princes Ann Town

in the Same County before Sampson Wheatly and Others his Associates the Said Lord Prop^ry his Justices
of the Same County Court and for the Same Lord Prop^ry doth Give the Same Justices here to Understand
And be Informed that Elizabeth Martin Late of Stepney Parish in the Said County of Somerset the xx day

of August in the Year of our Lord One thousand Seven hundred and Sixty ^ at the parish in the County af^d.
did Commit Fornication with a Certain person unknown and did permit the Same unknown person to have
Carnal knowledge of her body and a bastard Child on the body of her the Said Elizabeth then and there
did beget to the Great displeasure of Almighty God to the Evill Example of all Others in Such Case offending
Contrary to the peace of the Said Lord Prop^ry that now is his Good Rule and Government And Against the
form of the Act of Assembly in Such Case made and provided and So forth And Whereupon the Same
Attorney of the Same Lord Prop^ry for the Lord Prop^ry prays Advice of the Court here in the premisses and that due
Process of Law may be Made Ag^t the Said Eliz^th. to Answer of and upon the premisses and So forth
      Therefore it is Commanded the Sheriff of Somerset County that he Should take the Said Eliz^th. Martin
if &^c. to Answer &^c.    And now to witt at a Court of his Lordship held at Princes Ann Town the third Tuesday of
August and Year af^d. Came the af^d. Eliz^th. Martin in her proper person and had a hearing of the Information af^d. Saith
that She Cannot deny but that She is Guilty of the premisses in the Information af^d. Above upon her Imposed in
Manner and form as by the Information af^d. Above Against her Supposed and Maketh Oath that Charles Williams
is the father of the Child She Stands Informed Against and is Willing to pay her fine for the Same &^c
           Whereupon all and Singular the premisses being Seen and by the Court fully understood it is Considered
by the Court here that the af^d. Eliz^th. Martin for the Offence af^d. be taken &^c. Which Said Eliz^th. Martin present
here in Court in her proper person is fined for the Offence af^d. the Sum of thirty Shillings Cur^t Money which she
paid to the Sheriff for the use of the County &^c.
