Hath of A plea of trespass upon the Case &c.    And Whereupon the Said Wilson Hath by Sal Wilson his Attorney
Complains that Whereas the Said Solomon on the Last day of November in the Year of our Lord God Seventeen hundred
And Sixty One at the County afd. was indebted unto him the Said Wilson Hath in the Sum of four pound three Shillings
And Eight pence Curt Money of Maryland for the Several Matters and things in the Account hereto Annexed
Mentioned and Specifyed and So thereof Indebted being in Consideration thereof Afterwards to witt the day and Year afd.
at the County afd. Upon himself did Assume and to the Said Wilson Hath then and there faithfully promise that
he the Said Solomon the Said Sum of Money to the Said Hath when afterwards he Should be thereto Required would
Well and faithfully pay and Content yet the Said Solomon his promise and Assumption afd. So as afd. made not
Regarding but plotting and Craftily intending him the Said Hath in that part to deceive and defraud the Sum of Money to
the Said Hath hath not paid or him for the Same in Any Sort Contented but the Same to him to pay hitherto hath
Refused and Still doth Refuse altho thereto afterwards to wit the day and Year afd. at the County afd.
And often Since by the Said Hath Required to the Damage of the Said Hath Six pounds Curt Money of Maryland
And therefore he brings Suit and So forth                                          Pledges &c. J: Doe & R: Roe

   Saving Errors pr Wilson Hath
June 16: 1762 Then Wilson Hath made Oath on the holy Evangels of Almighty God that the within Acct as Stated is Just
And true and that he never Recd. Any part or parcell Security or Satisfaction for it More than Credit Given

And the afd. Solomon Pockam by his Attorney afd. Comes and defends the force and Injury when &c. And Saith
that he Cannot deny the Action afd. of the afd. Wilson Hath nor but that he did Assume upon himself in Manner
and form as the afd. Wilson above Against him hath Complained and as to the damage of the Same Wilson
by him by Occasion of the Premisses in that part Sustained the Same Solomon Saith and Acknowledgeth that the afd.
Wilson hath Sustained Damages by Occasion of the premisses beyond his Costs and Charges by him about his
Suit in that part Apposed to four pounds three Shillings and Eight pence Curt Money and not More and because the
afd. Wilson denys not this but the Same Allegation Grants to be true prays Judgment for those Damages
Above Acknowledged together with his Costs and Charges afd. to him to be Adjudged &c
             Therefore by Consent of the parties afd. it is Considered that the afd. Wilson Hath Recover
Against the afd. Solomon Pockam his Damages afd. to the afd. four pound three Shillings and Eight pence Curt Money
by the Same Solomon in form afd. Acknowledged as also                                                    Pounds of tobacco
for his Costs and Charges afd. to the Same Wilson at his Request by the Court now here of the Assent of the
Parties afd. Adjudged Which Certain Damages in the Whole Amount to four pound three Shillings and
Eight pence Curt Money and                                                    Pounds of Tobacco and the afd. Solomon in
Mercy &c

GH    His Lordship

@    Somerset to wit The Jurors for his Lordship the Right Honrble the Lord Propry that now is for the body of
SW    Wm. Roach    Somerset County upon their Oath Present that William Roach Late of Coventry Parish in the County
afd. Planter on the xvii day of Aprill in the Year of our Lord One thousand Seven hundred and Sixty Two with force and Arms
at the Parish afd. in the County afd. in and upon a Cerain Ephraim Dyse in the peace of God and the Said Lord Propry then
and there being an Assault did Make and Other harms to him the Said Ephraim then and there did to the Great damage of
the Said Ephraim And Against the peace of his Lordship the Right Honrble the Lord Propry that now is his good Rule &
Government and So forth
      Thereupon it is Commanded the Sheriff of Somerset County that he Should Take the Said William Roach if
he Should be found in his Bailywick and him Should Safe keep so that he might have his body before the Justices of his Lordships
County Court of Somerset to be held at Princes Ann Town the third Tuesday of August Anno Dom. one thousand Seven hundred &
Sixty Two to Answer unto his Lordship of and Concerning the Indictment afd.
           Att which day here Came the afd. George Hayward Gent his Lordships Attorney as the afd. Wm. Roach by Saml. Wilson his
Attorney and the Said Wm. Roach had a hearing of the Indictment afd. Saith that he will not Content with his Lordship but for
the Saveing Costs Labour and Expences about the premisses Submits himself at fine with his Said Lordship and put himself
upon favour of the Court &c.    Whereupon all and Singular the Premisses being Seen and by the Court fully understood
it is Considered by the Court here that the afd. Wm. Roach for the Offence afd. Above Mentioned be taken &c which Said
William Roach present here in Court as afd. is fined for the premisses and Offence afd. the Sum of five pounds Curt
Money which he paid to the Sheriff for the use of his Lordship &c
