Shillings and Eight pence Curt Money of Maryland which to them he Owes and unjustly detains and So forth
And Whereupon the Said John and Phillip by William Hayward their Attorney Say that whereas the
Said William Nutter on the Seventh day of May in the Year of our Lord One thousand Seven hundred
And Sixty at the County afd. by his Certain Writing Obligatory which with the Seal of the Said William
Nutter Sealed the Said John and Phillip here into Court bring the date whereof is the Same day and Year had
Acknowledged himself to be held and firmly bound to one Hall Cail now deceased (whom the Said John and
Phillip Survived) and the Said John and Philip in the Sum of One hundred and Twenty pounds Seventeen
Shillings and Eight pence Curt Money to be paid to them the Said Hall John and Phillip when he the Said
William Nutter Should be thereto afterwards Required Nevertheless the afd. William Nutter
(though often Required hath not paid the afd. One hundred and Twenty pounds Seventeen Shillings and Eight
pence Curt Money to the Said Hall, John and Phillip or Any of them in the Lifetime of the Said Hall
or to the Said John and Phillip or Either of them Since the death of the Said Hall (whom the Said John
and Phillip Survived) but hath Refused to pay the Same and doth Still Refuse to pay the Same to
the Said John and Phillip Whereupon they Say they are Injured and have damage to the Value of One
hundred and Twenty Pounds Seventeen Shillings and Eight pence Curt Money of Maryland and thereupon
they bring Suit and So forth                                               Pledges &c. J: Doe & R: Roe
        And the afd. Wm. Nutter by his Attorney afd. Comes and defends the force and Injury
when &c. And prays Leave thereof to Imparle here untill Next Court to be held at Princes Ann
Town the third Tuesday of November then next following and he hath it and the Same day is Given
to the afd. John and Phillip here also &c
      Att which day here Came as well the afd. John Cail and Phillip Walker as the afd. William
Nutter by their Attorneys afd. And hereupon the Said Wm. Prays further Leave thereof to Imparle
here untill next Court to be held at Princes Ann Town the third Tuesday of March then next following
and he hath it and the Same day is Given to the afd. John & Phillip here also &c
        Att which day here Came as well the afd. John Cail and Phillip Walker as the afd.
William Nutter by their Attorneys afd. And hereupon the Said William prays further Leave
thereof to Imparle here untill next Court to be held at Princes Ann Town the third Tuesday of
June then next following and he hath it and the Same day is Given to the afd. John and Phillip here
also &c       Att which day here Came as well the afd. John Cail and Phillip Walker as the afd.
William Nutter by their Attorneys afd. And hereupon the Said William prays further Leave
thereof to Imparle here untill next Court to be held at Princes Ann Town the third Tuesday of August
then next following and he hath it and the Same day is Given to the afd. John and Phillip here also &c
           Att which day here Came as well the afd. John Cail and Phillip Walker as the afd.
William Nutter by their Attorneys afd. And hereupon the Said William as before defends
the force and Injury when &c. And Saith that he Cannot deny the Action afd. of the afd. John Cail &
Phillip Walker nor but that the Writing Obligatory afd. is the deed of him the Said William Nutter
nor but that he Owes the afd. John Cail and Phillip Walker the afd. One hundred and Twenty pound
Seventeen Shillings and Eight pence Curt Money in Manner and form as the afd. John and Phillip
Above Against him hath declared    Therefore it is Considered that the afd. John Cail and Phillip
Walker Recover Against the afd. William Nutter their Debt afd. and their Damages by Occasion
332 3/4    of the detention of that Same debt to                           Pounds of Tobacco to the Same
John and Phillip of their Assent by the Court here Adjudged and the afd. William in Mercy &c

SW    Samuel Wilkins    Command was Given to the Sheriff of Somerset County that he Should

@   Take William Geddes Late of Somerset County Merchant if he Should be found in his
WH    Wm. Geddes    Bailywick and him Should Safe keep so that he might have his body before the Justices of
his Lordships County Court of Somerset to be held at Princes Ann Town the third Tuesday of November Anno
