thereupon or Render his body in Execution of Such Judgment to the Prison of the Sheriff of the County afd. in
Satisfaction thereof or that he the Said Thomas Ralph will do the Same for him &c
           And the afd. Mitchell King by Saml. Wilson his Attorney Comes and defends the force and Injury when &c
And Saith that he Cannot deny the Action afd. of the afd. Robert Handy nor but that the Writing Obligatory afd. is
the deed of him the Said Mitchell nor but that he Owes the afd. Robert Handy the afd. three pounds four Shillings
and a penny Curt Money in Manner and form as the afd. Robert Above Against him hath declared
           Therefore it is Considered that the afd. Robert Handy Recover Against the afd. Mitchell King his
Debt afd. and his Damages by Occasion of the detention of that Same debt to
201    Pounds of tobacco to the Same Robert of his Assent by the Court here Adjudged and the afd. Mitchell in Mercy &c.
with Stay of Exn untill the tenth day of febry next &c

13th: July 1762 Levin Ballard made Oath on the holy Evangelist of Almighty God that the above Acct. as it Stands
Stated Against William Knowls is Just and true and that he hath not Recd. any part thereof Security or Satisfaction
for the Same before                                                                                            Thos. Jones
   Somerset County fst This day Levin Ballard Came before me the Subscriber and made Oath on the holy
Evangelist of Almighty God that William Knowles is Justly Indebted to him the Sum of three pounds Nine
Shillings and Six pence and that he hath Just Reason to believe that the Said Knowls is fled from Justice in
Order to defraud his Just Creditors    There are therefore in his Lordships Name to Command you in behalf
of the Said Levin Ballard to Issue an Attachment Against the Goods and Chattles Rights and Credits of the Said
William Knowles for the afd. Sum of three pounds Nine Shillings and Six pence with the Incident Costs thereon
hereof fail not Given under my hand and Seal this 13th day of July Anno Dom. 1762
   To the Clerk of Somerset County                                                                   Thos. Jones
     By Virtue of the above Warrant and Account Proven was Issued the following Attachment
Somerset fst    Frederick Absolute Lord and Propry of the Provinces of Maryland and Avalon Lord
Baron of Baltemore &c. To the Sheriff of Somerset County Greeting we Command You that you Attach any the
Goods Chattles and Credits of William Knowls Late of Somerset County Planter if they Shall be found in Your
Bailywick to the Value of three pounds Nine Shillings and Six pence Curt Money and five hundred pounds of
Tobacco and when you have the Same Attached or Any part thereof the Same in your Custody Safe keep so that you
have the Same before our Justices of our County Court of Somerset to be held at Princes Ann Town the third
Tuesday of August Next then and there to be Condemned According to Act of Assembly to and for the use of
a Certain Levin Ballard Unless the Said William Knowles by himself or his Attorney Shall Appear and
Answer unto the Said Levin Ballard in a plea of trespass upon the Case &c. According to Law and that by Good
and Lawfull men of Your Bailywick you Make known unto the person or Persons in Whose hands you Make
the Same Attachment that he She or they be and Appear before our Justices of our County Court of Somerset to be
held at afd. to Shew Cause if Any he She or they have why the Same Goods Chattles and Credits So Attached in
his her or their hands Ought not to be Condemned and Execution thereof had and Made According to Act of
Assembly in Such Case made and Provided if to him her or them it Shall Seem meet and how you Shall Execute
this Writt that you Make known unto our Said Justices at the day and Place afd. and have you then and there
this Writt Wittness Isaac Handy Esr Chief Justice of our Said Court the 18th day of June Anno Dom. 1762
