June Court 1760 14 Somerset fst Frederick Absolute Lord & Propry of ye. Provinces of Maryland & Avalon Lord Baron of Baltimore &c. to ye. sherriffe of Somerset County Greeting we Command you that you attach any of the goods Chattles Lands & tenements rights and Credits of Stpehen White Late of Somerset County Gent if they shall be found in your Bailywick to ye. Value of Twenty five Pounds Current money of Maryland & Eight hundred pounds of Tobacco and when you have ye. same attached or any part thereof ye same in your Custody safe keep so that you have the same before our justices of our County Court of Somerset to be held at Princes Ann Town ye Third Tuesday of June Next the use of then & there to be Condemned according to Act of Assembly to and for ^ a certain Smith Horsey unless ye. said Stephen White by himself or his appear and Answer unto ye. said Smith Horsey in a plea of Debt &c. according to Law and that by good and Lawfull men of your Bailywick you make known unto ye Person or Persons in whose hans you make ye. same attachment that he she of they be and Appear before our Justices of our County Court of Somerset to be held as afd. to shew Cause if Any he she or they have why ye. same goods Chattles and Credits so attached in his her or their Hands Ought not to be Condemned and Execution thereof had and made according to Act of Assembly in such Case made & provided if to him her or them it shall seem Meet and now you shall Execute this Writt that you make known unto Our said Justices at ye. day and place afd. & have you then & there this Writt Witness Isaac Handy Esqr. one of our Justices of our said Court the 21st. Day of March in ye. 9th. year of our Dominion & Anno Dom. 1760 Att which said third Tuesday of June afd. Came ye. afd. Smith Horsey by Samuell Wilson his Atty. and the sherriffe to witt John Dennis gent. now here returned ye. afd. Writt of attachment Indorsed in manner following with a schedule thereto annexed By Virtue of ye. within Writt I hereby Certifie that I have attached of ye goods & Chattles of ye. within Stevens White five pounds & seven hundred & twenty five pounds of Tobacco and also on ye. fifth day of June last I attached in ye. hands of Thomas Newbold the sum of seven pounds fufteen shillings as ye. rights and Credits of ye. said Stevens to satisfie ye. within attachment and also on ye day & year afd. by Richard Rie & John Sanford good and Lawfull men of my Bailywick I made known unto ye. afd. Thomas Newbold to be and appear before ye Justices within named at the time and place therein Mentioned to shew Cause if any he hath why the said sum should not be Condemned towards satisfying the afd. Smith his Debt afd. as by ye same Writt I am Directed We the Subscribers being summoned and duly sworn to make true appraismt. of the goods & Chattles of Stephen White attached by Smith Horsey have accordingly appraised ye/ same Vizt.
