@	We the Grand Jurors for the body of Somerset County on our Oaths do present Molatto Dinah
Molatto Dinah	of Coventry Parish for Bearing a Bastard Child begot by a Negro on or about the fifteenth day of

January 1762 Contrary to Act of Assembly in that Case made and provided            Levin Dashiell foreman
                Ezekiell Hall informer
Thereupon it is Commanded the Sheriff of Somerset County that he Should take the Said Molatto Dinah
if she Should be found in his Bailywick and her Should Safe keep so that he might have her body before the
Justices of his Lordships County Court of Somerset to be held at Princes Ann Town the third Tuesday of June
Anno Dom. one thousand Seven hundred and Sixty two to Answer unto his Said Lordship of and Concerning the
Presentment af^d.       Att which day here Came the af^d. Molatto Dinah in her Proper person and had a hearing
of the Presentment af^d. Saith that She Cannot deny but that She is Guilty of the premisses in the Presentment
af^d. Mentioned above upon her Imposed in Manner and form as by the Presentment af^d. Above Against her
Supposed and Maketh Oath that a Negro Man Slave named Adam is the father of the Child She Stands
presented for       Whereupon all and Singular the Premisses being Seen and by the Court fully understood it
is Considered by the Court here that for as much as there is due to the County of Somerset Seven Years Service
from Such persons as are Guilty of Inordinate Copulation and Likewise that the Issue begot by Such Copulation
to become a Servant untill it Arrive at the Age of thirty One Years Whereupon it i that the af^d. Molatto
Dinah become a Servant for Seven Years for Such Copulation as af^d. and that Bob the Issue of the af^d. Dinah
and begot by the Copulation af^d. become a Servant untill he Arrive at the Age of thirty One Years &^c
        Whereupon it is Ordered by the Court here that the af^d. Mollatto Dinah Return to her
master (Ezekiell Hall Service and that the Said Hall Return the af^d. Dinah to the Justices of Somerset
County Court the first Court that Shall happen after her now Servitude Expire in order to be Sold for the term
of Years af^d. for the Inordinate Copulation af^d. and to Reimburst the County of Somerset the fees due by means of
the Prosecution af^d. &^c       Thereupon the Justices of Somerset County Court in Court Judicially Sitting made
Sale of Bob the Issue of the af^d. Dinah begot by the Copulation af^d. to Ezekill Hall for the Term of
to Commence from the time of his Birth
thirty One Years ^ for and in Consideration of the Sum of fifty Shillings Cur^t Money which he paid to the Sheriff
for the use of the County &^c

The Same	Somerset to wit Be it Remembred that George Hayward Gent Attorney of the Right Honrble
@	the Lord Propry that now is who for the Same Lord Propry in this part prosecuteth doth Come
Rachell Benston	here into the County Court of the Same Lord Propry held for Somerset County to wit at Princes Ann

Town in the Same County before Isaac Handy Esq^r and others his Associates the Said Lord Prop^ry his Justices
of the Same County Court and for the Same Lord Prop^ry doth Give the Same Justices here to understand &
be informed that Rachell Benston Late of Coventry Parish in the Said County of Somerset the 15^th day of
June in the Year of our Lord One thousand Seven hundred Sixty and One at the Parish af^d. in the County af^d.
did Commit fornication with a Certain person unknown and did permit the Same unknown person to have
Carnal knowledge of her body and a bastard Child on the body of her the Said Rachell then and there did
beget to the high displeasure of Almighty God to the Evill Example of all others in Such Case
