June Court 1760 13 Stevens White late of Somerset County Gentleman hath removed in a secret manner from the place of his Abode and Carried away part of his Substance and hath fled from Justice and it hath this Day made Appear to me by the above Oath of Michael Holland and the Bond hereto Annexed that the said White is Indebted to him in the sum of thirty Eight pounds nine shillings and four pence Current money of Maryland by the said Bond in ye penalty of Eighty Nine pounds twelve shillings and six pence Current money Conditioned for the payment is direct you to Issue an Attachment against the Lands Tenements Goods Chattles rights and Credits of the said Stevens White for the said sum of Eighty nine pounds twelve shillings and six pence Current money of Maryland in ye usual manner and according to the Direction of the Act of Assembly in such Case made and provided for the said Michael Holland and for so doing this shall be your sufficient Warrant & you also include the Incident Costs given under my hand this 28th. May 1760 Ephm. Wilson By Virtue of the above warrant and Bond being Proven was Issued the following Attachment Somerset fst Frederick Absolute Lord and propry of the provinces of Maryland and Avalon Lord Baron of Baltimore &c. to the sherriffe of Somerst. County Greeting we command you that you Attach any the goods and Chattles Lands & Tenements & Credits of Stephen White Late of Somerset County Gent if they shall be found in your Bailywick to the value of Eighty nine pounds Twelve shillings & six pence Current money of Maryland and Eight hundred pounds of Tobacco and when you have the same attached or any part thereof the same in your Custody safe keep so that you have the same before our Justices of our County Court of Somerset to be held at Princes Ann Town the third Tuesday of June Next then & there to be Condemned According to Act of Assembly to and for the use of a Certain Michael Holland Senr. unless the said Stephen White by himself of his attorney shall Appear and answer unto the said Michael Holland in a plea of Debt &c. according to Law and that by good and Lawfull men of your Bailywick you make known unto the person or persons in whose hands you make Can appear before our Justices of our County Court of Somerset to be held as afd. to shew Cause if Any he she or they Attachment that he she or they ^ have why the same goods Chattles and Credits so attached in his her or their hands ought not to be Condemned and Execution thereof had and made according to Act of Assembly in such Case made and provided if to him her or them it shall seem meet & now you shall Execute this Writt that you make known unto our said Justices at the Day and place afd. And have you then & there this Writt Witness Isaac Handy Esqr. one of our Justices of our said Court the 21st. Day of March in the 9th. year of our Dominion & Anno Dom. 1760 Att which said Third Tuesday of March afd. came the afd. Michael Holland by Saml. Wilson his attorney and ye sherriffe, to wit, John Dennis gent. now here returned the afd. Writt of Attachment Indorsed in manner following with a schedule thereto annexed certifie Somerset, to wit, By virtue of the within writt to me Directed I hereby ^ that I have attached |
