Value of fifty seven pounds fourteen shillings & six pence Current money of Maryland
& Eight Hundred pounds of Tobacco & when you have ye same Attached or any part
thereof ye same in your Custody safe keep so that you have the same before our
Justices of our County Court of Somerset to be held at Princes Ann Town ye said Tuesday
of June Next then & their to be Condemned According to According to Act of Assembly
to and for ye use of a Certain John White unless the said Stevens White by himself
or his attorney shall Appear & Answer unto ye said John White in a plea of Debt
&c According to Law & that by Good and Lawfull men of your Bailywick you
make known unto ye afd. person or persons in whose hands you make ye same
Attachment that he she of they be & Appear before our Justices of our County
Court of Somerset to be held as afd. to shew Cause if any he she or they have why
ye same goods & Chattles & Credits so attached in his her or their Hands Ought
not to be Condemned & Execution thereof had & made according to Act of Assembly
in such Case made & provided if to him her or them if shall seem meet & now you
Shall Execute this Writt that you make known or unto our said Justices at the
day & place afd. and have you then & there this Writt Witness Isaac Handy Esqr. one
of our Justices of our said Court the 21st. day of March in the 9th year of our Dominion
& Anno Dom. 1760
Att which said third Tuesday of June Came ye afd. John White in his proper person
And the Sherriffe to wit John Dennis Gent. now here returned the afd. Writt of
attachment Indorsed in manner following with a Schedule there to annexed

I hereby Certifie that I have by Virtue of the within ^ Attached of the Goods and
Chattles of the within Stevens White to satisfie the within John White the sum
of thirty seven pounds three shillings & six pence & Eight Hundred pounds
of Tobacco as by the schedule hereto Annexed which goods I have here ready as by
the same Writt I am Directed                           So Answers John Dennis Shef.
We the Subscribers being Summoned and duly Sworn to make here appraisement of
the Goods and Chattles of Stevens White Attached by John White have accordingly
appraised the same as followeth to wit
1 Negroe Man Named James    £33..3..6 Curt money   & 200 lb
1 Bay Mare        4        600

     37..3..6       800
Whereupon the said Stevens White Solemnly      Wm. Waters
Called to Shew Cause &c Came not but makes      Ed. Waters
Default nor does any other person appear for      Wm. Miles
him to Shew Cause to the Contrary &c.      Revell Horsey
Thereupon the said John White in his proper person cames here into Court and prays
that upon giving Scry According to Act of Assembly in Such Case made and provided
the Severall Goods and Chattles so as afd. Attached and valued to thirty seven
pounds three shillings & six pence & Eight Hundred pounds of Tobacco as
appears by the appraisment afd. may be Condemned as of the goods and Chattles
of the afd. Stevens White towards satisfying unto him the said John White
his Damages and all Costs and Charges Accrewing by the means of the Attachment
afd.
           Thereupon a certain Littleton Dennis Present here in Court in his
