June Court 1760 11 On Which they may Depend and your Petitioner as in duty Bound will pray Henry Lowes Junr. Whereupon Came here into Court the afd. Petitioner in his Proper person & thereupon the Petition afd. being read & heard & fully understood it is Considered by the Court here that a Commission Issue to the afd. Henry Lowes as by the petition afd. is praid and that Wm. Hayward Wm. Allen Alexr. Robertson and Joseph Allen of Somerset County Gent. be Commissions and Execute the same Commission according to Act of Assembly in such Case provided
Sampson a Negro of Ths. Holbrook being not able to Labour is set tax free for the future &c.
Assigns unto the said John White Heirs Exrs Adms ^ or Certain Attorney to which payment well and truly to be made & done We do bind ourselves & Each of us our and Every of our Heirs, Exrs & Admrs. firmly by these presents sealed with our seals & dated this 25th. Day of Aprill Anno Dom. seventeen hundred fifty and Eight The Condition of the above obligation is such that if the above bounden Thomas Jones & Stevens White they or either of them do and shall well and truly pay or Cause to be paid unto the afsd. John White Hiers Exrs Admrs. or Assigns the full and Just sum of Twenty Eight pounds seventeen shillings and three pence Current money of Maryland together with Legall Interest thereon till paid, then the above oblig: :ation to be Void & of none Effect Else to be & remain in full Force & Virtue in Law Sealed & Delivered Thomas Jones {seal} In Presence of Stevens White {seal}
Ths Jones Somerset to wit Whereas it is this day made appear to my satisfaction that Stephens White is Justly Indebted to John White of Somerset County Mercht. the sum of fifty seven pounds fourteen shillings and six pence Current money of Maryland & that the said Stephens White hath fled from Justice in order to are therefore in his Lordships Name to Command in Behalfe of the sd. John White to Issue an attachment against the goods Chattles Rights & Credits of the said Stephens White for the afsd. sum as also the Incidents Costs thereon given under my Hand & Seal this 28th. Day of May 1760 Ths Jones By Virtue of the above Warrant and Bond Somerset fst. Frederick Abolute Lord & Propry of the provinces of Maryland & Avalon Lord Baron of Baltimore &c to ye. Sherriffe of Somerset County Greeting we Command you that you Attach the goods & Chattles rights & Credits of Stevens White Late of Somerset County Gent. otherwise Called We Stevens White if they shall be found in your Bailywick to ye Value |
