in that part before Acknowledged and had a hearing of the Indictment afd. Saith that he Cannot deny but that
he is Guilty of the Premisses in the Indictment afd. Above Against him Supposed in Manner and form as by
the Indictment afd. Above Against him Supposed &cnd
           Whereupon all and Singular the Premisses being Seen and by the Court fully understood it
is Considered by the Court here that the afd. Charles Henderson for the Premisses and offence afd. in the
Indictment afd. Above Specified be taken which Said Charles Henderson present here in Court as afd. is fined
for the Pemisses and offence afd. the Sum of Twenty Shillings Curt Money which he paid down to the Sheriff
                          his Lordship
for the use of ^ the County ^ &c.

The Same
@    Somerset to wit Be it Remembred that George Hayward Gent Attorney of the Right
Elizth. Molton    Honrble the Lord Propry that now is who for the Same Lord Propry in this part Prosecuteth doth Come
here into the County Court of the Same Lord Propry held for Somerset County to wit at Princes Ann Town in the Same
County the 17th day of November in the Year of our Lord One thousand Seven hundred and Sixty One before Isaac
Handy Esqr. and his Associates that Said Lord Propry his Justices of the Same County Court and for the Same Lord Propry
doth Give the Same Justices here to understand and be Informed that Elizth. Molton Late of Coventry Parish in the
Said County of Somerset Spinster the       day of       in the Year of our Lord One thousand Seven hundred and
Sixty at the Parish afd. in the County afd. did Commit Fornication with a Certain Person unknown and did
Permit the Same unknown person to have Carnal knowledge of her body and a Bastard Child on the body of her
the Said Elizth. then and there to Beget to the high displeasure of Almighty God to the Evil Example of
all others in Such Case offending Contrary to the Peace of the Said Lord Propry that now is his Good Rule and
Government and Against the form of the Act of Assembly in Such Case made and Provided and So forth
And Whereupon the Same Attorney of the Same Lord Propry for the Lord Propry Prays Advice of the Court here in
the Premisses and that due Process of Law may in this part be made Against the Said Elizabeth of and upon
the Premisses and So forth
      Thereupon it is Commanded the Sheriff of Somerset County that he Should take the Said Elizth. Molton
if &c. to Answer &c.    And now to witt at a Court of his Lordship held at Princes Ann Town the third Tuesday of
November being the Seventeenth day of the Same Month Anno Dom. 1761 before the Justices thereof Came
the afd. Elizth. Molton in her Proper Person by Littleton Dennis her Attorney and had a hearing of the
Information afd. Saith that she Cannot deny but that She is Guilty of the Premisses in the Information
Mentioned but will not declare the father but is Willing to pay a double fine for the Same &c
           Whereupon all and Singular the Premisses being Seen and by the Court fully understood it is
Considered by the Court here that the afd. Elizth. Molton for the Premisses and offence afd. be taken &c
Thereupon the Said Elizth. Molton is fined the Sum of three pounds Curt Money of Maryland which She
paid Down to the Sheriff for the use of the County &c
      Whereupon the Said Elizth. Molton is ordered to Give Sery to Save and keep Indemnified the Justices of
Somerset County from all Costs Charges & troubles that may Accrew by means of the birth of the bastard
Child afd.    Thereupon the Said a Certain James Gunby of Somerset County Gent present here in Court in
his Proper Person undertook and Acknowledged himself to be held and firmly bou Indebted unto his
Lordship the Lord Propry in thirty pounds Curt Money of Maryland to be Levied of his body Goods and
Chattles Lands and tenements if it happen that he do not Save and keep Indemnified the Justices of
Somerset County Court from all Costs Charges and troubles that may Accrew by means of the birth of
the Bastard Child afd. &c.

LD    Nicholas McCubbin    His Lordship the Lord Propry directed his Writt to the Sheriff Close in these Words Vizt

@    Somerset fst Frederick Absolute Lord and Propry of the Provinces of Maryland &

   Purnall Newbold    Avalon Lord Baron of Baltemore &c. to the Sheriff of Somerset County Greeting
Whereas Nicholas McCubbin Lately before Isaac Handy Esqr and others his Associates Justices of our County
