June Court 1760 10 Shall Demean himself towards his said Master and all his during the term afd. In Consideration of which Service the said James Spicer present here in Court in his proper pers: :on Covenanteth with the Justices of the same Court in Court Judicially sitting in manner And form following that is to say that he the said James Spicer shall and will during the term afd. Learn his said Apprentice the trade of a Cordwainer and to read in the Testament and at the Expiration of his Servitude give him a new suit of Cordwainers Cloaths over and above his Common wearing Cloaths & A Sett of ^ Tools and likewis find and provide for his said apprentice meat Drink washing Loding & Cloathing Sufficient for such an apprentice to have & wear during the term afd. Whereupon the said James Spicer is ordered to give security for to Comply with the Covenants afd. Thereupon the said James together with Robert Auston & Mercillis Hobbs of Somerset County Gent his Srtys all present here in Court in their proper persons Acknowledged themselves indebted unto the afd. Israell in Thirty pounds Currt money of Maryland on their Bodies goods or Chattles Lands and Tenements Joyntly and Severally to the use of the said Israell his heirs and Assigns to be made and Levied if it happen that the said James Spicer do not during the term afd. Learn his said Apprentice the trade of a Cordwainer and to read in the Testament and at the Expiration of his Servitude do not give him a new Suit of Cloaths over and Cordwainers above his Common wearing Cloaths and a set of ^ Tools and do not likewise find & provide for his said apprentice meat drink washing Lodging and Cloathing Sufficient for Such an apprentice to have and wear during the term afd. &c
the said apprentice his said Master well and faithfully he shall serve his secrets keep his Commandments Lawfully & honestly every where willingly he shall doe and in all things as a good and faithfull apprentice he shall Demean himself towards his said Master and all his during the term afd. In Consideration of which Service the said William Nelson present here in Court in his proper person Covenanteth with the Justices of the same Court in Court Judicially setting in manner & form following that is to say that he the said William shall and will during the term afd. Learn his said apprentice the trade of a Tight Cooper & read well in the Bible and at the Expiration of his servitude give him a new Suit of Cloaths over & above his Common wearing Cloaths & likewise find and provide of his said apprentice meat drink washing Lodging and Cloathing sufficient for such an apprentice to have & wear during the term afd. Whereupon the said Wm. Nelson is ordered to give Sry for to Comply with the Covenants afd. Thereupon the said Wm. Nelson together with Isaac Atkinson & Geo: Dashiell [Sr?] of Somerset County Gent. his Srys all present here in Court in their proper persons Acknowledged themselves indebted unto the afd. Jessey Rumly in Thirty pounds Current money of Maryland on their Bodies goods or Chattles Lands and Tenements Joyntly and Severally to the use of the said Jessey his heirs and Assigns to be made & Levied if it happen that the said Wm. do not during the term afd. Learn his said apprentice the Trade of a Tight Cooper and read well him in the Bible & at the Expiration of his servitude Do not give ^ A new suit of Cloaths over and above his Common wearing Cloaths & do not likewise find & provide for his said apprentice meat drink washing Lodging & Cloathing Sufficient for such an apprentice to have & Wear during the term afd. &c |
