CHAP. 87

James Carroll Esq, of said city, deceased, to the said com-
pany

Approval required

Sec. 2 And be it enacted, That the provisions of this act
shall be of no force or effect, unless the same shall be ap-
proved by the Mayor and City Council of Baltimore

Notice- expense

&c.

Sec 3 And be it enacted That the Mayor and City
Council of Baltimore, before they finally pass upon (any or-
dinance authorised by this act, shall first cause an adver-
tisement to be published for one week, in the daily papers
in the city of Baltimore, the expense of said advertisement
to be paid by the party or parties applying for the passage
of the said ordinance, setting out the name of the street to
he immediately affected thereby, and in what way the same
is to be affected, and notifying all persons interested, to
make their objections, if any they have, to the passage of
said ordinance, on or before some day to be fixed by the
said Mayor and City Council

An act to Incorporate The Trustees of the Education Fund
of the Baltimore Annual Conference

WHEREAS, the Baltimore Annual Conference of the Me
thodist Episcopal Church, in order to revive Dickinson
College, in Carlisle, Pennsylvania, upon a plan of extended
usefulness, and with ample and permanent resources, under
the auspices of the said Conference, has provided a fund,
which may receive future accessions, for sustaining and
conducting said Institution, and whereas, the Baltimore
Annual Conference has placed said fund in the care of trus
tees, who are charged with the duty of investing it, and
thereby to make it productive, and are directed to pay over
to the trustees of the said Institution, for its support, all the
issues and interest and income of said fund, — and whereas,
although the immediate and primary object of said fund is
the support of Dickinson College, yet, in the event of a dis-
solution of that Institution, or its operations ceasing, or of
its no longer being under the care or auspices of said An-
nual Conference, the destination of said fund, under the di-
rection of said Annual Conference, should be to the pur-
poses of Education, arid an appropriation thereof, in that
respect, should be made, as the said Annual Conference
