1834. RESOLUTIONS.

————— that sum, improperly paid over by him to the deputy At-
torney General of the State of Maryland, for Prince Georges
county.

No. 74.

Passed Mar. 19, 1835

Resolution in favor of William Brierly.

Resolved by the General Assembly of Maryland, That the
Register of the Land Office for the Western Shore of Ma-
ryland be, and he is hereby directed to issue a patent to
William Brierly, executor of John Barton Biddle, to and for
the uses and purposes mentioned in the last will and testa-
ment of the said John Barton Biddle, on the certificate of
survey, called Biddle's Farm, lying in Harford county, and
containing one hundred and eighty seven and a half acres;
Provided, the said executor shall pay to the treasurer of the
Western Shore, the sum of fifty cents per acre for the
forty one and a half acres of vacant land, over and above
the quantity purchased by him from the State; Provided,
nevertheless, that nothing herein contained shall be taken or
construed to affect any right that may have been acquired
by any other person in or to the land hereinbefore men-
tioned.

Passed Mar. 4,

Resolution in favor of the Commissioners for the removal
of obstructions in Chester River.

Resolved by the General Assembly of Maryland, That the
Treasurer of the Western Shore he, and he is hereby au-
thorised and required to pay, out of any unappropriated
money in the treasury, to John A. Hopper, or order, the
sum of twenty five dollars and eighty cents, to Edward
Coppage, or order, twenty five dollars and eighty cents; to
William Kirby, or order, thirty two dollars and sixty eight
cents; to George O. Trenchard, or order, twenty seven dol-
lars and fifty two cents; and to Samuel Turner, or order,
twenty two dollars and thirty six cents, respectively due to
each of them for services rendered as commissioners, in the
removal of obstructions in Chester River.
