1834. RESOLUTIONS.

copies of the said Report to be printed for the use of the
Assembly when it shall be submitted, which printing shall
be paid for under the directions, and upon the order of the
Governor and Council.
Resolved, That there be paid to said Director and said
persons respectively, for their respective services, Irom time
to time, during the work, such compensation as to the Go-
vernor and Council shall seem proper and reasonable; and
that the Treasurer of the Western Shore pay the same upon
the orders of the Governor.
Resolved, That the Governor and Council are hereby au-.
thorized to allow and cause to be paid, in manner aforesaid,
on application of the Director, during the progress of the
work, and to be paid to him such amount, as they may judge
to be necessary for, or to meet, expenses of said Collating,
and Digesting.
Resolved, That the Governor and Council be authorized
to fill any vacancy that shall occur in the place of Director,
or any of the persons aforesaid, by death, resignation or
otherwise.

Resolution in favor of Washington College and Millington
Academy.
Resolved, by the General Assembly of Maryland, That the
donation heretofore paid to the Washington College, in
Kent county, shall hereafter be divided in the following
manner, to wit:— to the Washington College, at Chester-
town, five hundred dollars, and to the Millington Academy,
three hundred dollars, and the Treasurer of the Western
Shore is hereby authorised and required to pay the said
donations to the trustees of the aforesaid college and aca-
demy, or their order, annually hereafter, and the trustees of
said academy are hereby required to cause to be educated
three indigent children, for each hundred dollars so re-
ceived.
