CHAP. 251.

Sec. 52. And be, it enacted, That any officer, non com-
missioned officer, musician or private, of the militia of this
State, who shall be disabled while in the service of this
State, shall, as a remuneration for the injury that he may

paid to him by the Treasurer of the Western Shore, in the

in and by an act of the General Assembly, passed at De-
cember session, eighteen hundred and fourteen, chapter one
hundred and thirteen.

Sec. 53. And whereas, in addition to the many other ad-
vantages which would result, much money would be baved to
the citizens, by adopting a State uniform, Therefore: Be it en-
acted, That the uniform for the infantry of this Staie, shall be,
for general officers, their aids-de-camp and brigade inspec-
tors, long dark blue coat, faced with buff, buff collars and
cuff's, yellow buttons and buff under clothes, long boots and
chapeaux-de-bras; for field company and stall officers, long
dark blue coat, edged with red, red collars and cuffs, white
buttons, dark blue pantaloons, edged With red for winter,
and while for summer; blackmailers, or half boots, chapeaux-
de-bras and black cockade; for non-commissioned officers,
and privates, short dark blue coat, red cuffs and collais,
white buttons, blue pantaloons, black gaiters or halt boots;
for riflemen, dark green frock or hunting shirt, and trowsers;
for cavalry, short coats and pantaloons of dark blue cloth,
edged with red, long half boots, a helmet or cap of leather,
such as are Worn by the United States Dragoons; for artil-
lery, long dark blue coats, faced with red, red collars and
cuffs, yellow buttons, blue pantaloons, black gaiters or hall
boots, and chapeaux-de bras.

Sec. 64. And be it enacted, That the Governor, by and
with the consent of the Council, for the accommodation
and support of the militia at any time called into actual ser-
vice, may appoint such commissaries and staff officers as
may seem proper, and shall have power to adopt such mea-
sures as may be deemed necessary for procuring, transport-
ing and issuing all requisite supplies; and until supplies shall

officer commanding them, shall have full power and authori-
ty to procure, transfer and issue necessary supplies to the
corps under his command; and whenever calls are made
upon the militia, by the governor, such calls shall be made
