LAWS OF MARYLAND.
every year thereafter, at such time as they may think proper,
each congregation as aforesaid, shall elect from their re-
spective bodies, three persons the said election shall be
held for each congregation separately, under such regula-
tions as each congregation may respectrvely adept, and that
those nine persons so elected, three from each congregation,
shall constr ute and form a board of trustees for the manage
ment of the affairs of the said congregations.

Sec 4 And be it enacted, That each congregation shall
keep a separate treasury and each vestry elect its own
treasurer and other officers and that the said congregations
|

By laws
|
may adopt such by laws for each respectively, as to them
may seem necessary, Provided, they are not inconsistent
with the provisions of this act, any rules or regulations by
the said congregations heretofore adopted, to the contrary
notwithstanding
|

Sec 3 And be it enacted, That the first election of Coun-
cilmen of said town, shall be held by any two justices of
the peace of Allegany county, residing in said town, the
election to be held at the Court House in said town, and the
