CHAP. 227

CHAPTER 226.

Passed Mar. 17, 1835

An act entitled an additional supplement to the act entitled
an act for the distribution of a certain fund for the purpose
of establishing Free Schools in the several Counties therein
mentioned, so far as relates to Harford county

Repeal

Section 1 Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Ma-
yland, That so much of the second section of an act pass-
ed thirteenth of March, eighteen hundred and thirty three
as directs the Orphans' court of Harford county, to place the
school fund money of said county, in some Bank or Savings
Institution as they may receive it, be and the same is hereby

repealed, and the said Orphans' court are hereby authorised
at their discretion to invest any surplus money in their bands
belonging to the said school fund, in the manner thev may
deem, most advantageous for the augmentation of said fund,

2 And be it enacted, That the Orphans' court of said
county, shall after the passage of this act, require the Regis-
ter of Wills of said county, to keep a separate and district
account with each commissioner of the school fund of said
county, for all receipts and disbursements

Sec 3 And be it enacted, That if any commissioner of
the school fund of said county, shall niglect or refuse to set-
tle his or their account or at counts, as is required by exist-
ing laws with the Orphans' court of said county, for six
months after the time required by law, rt shall then be the du-
ty of said Orphans' court, and they are hereby authorised

and required to remove such delinquent commissioner or
commissioners forthwith, and appoint some other duty quali-
fied person or persons in his or their stead

CHAPTER 227.

Passed Mar 18,1835

An act to authorise Thomas H Buckner, of Charles Coun
ty, to bring a certain slave into this State.

Permission granted

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland, That
Thomas H Buckner, of Charles county, be and he is here-
by authorised to bring into this State, his negro boy Willis
Clark, a slave for life, upon complying with the terms and
conditions of an act of Assembly, passed at December ses-
sion, eighteen hundred and thirty three, chapter eighty.
