LAWS OF MARYLAND

CHAP. 223

Bond required

commissioners, before acting as such, shall execute their
joint and several bond to the State,of Maryland in the penal
sum of twenty thousand dollars, to be approved by some
one judge of the County or Orphans' [Court,] and filed in

Repeal

the clerk's office of Frederick county.
Sec 5 And be it enacted, That so much of the act of
eighteen hundred and three, chapter seven, and of the sup-
plementary act of eighteen hundred and three, chapter fifty
eight, as is repugnant to the provrsrons of this act, shall be

and the same is hereby repealed
Sec 6 And be it enacted, That this act shall not be in
force beyond and after the time fixed for the suppression of
lotteries in this State.

CHAPTER 223

Passed Mar 13,1835

An act directing the Levy Court of Prince George's County,
to pay to the Messenger of the County Court of said
County, the sum of money therein mentioned

Levy

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland, That
the justices of the Levy Court of Prince George's County
be, and they are hereby authorised and directed to levy and
assess upon the assessable property of said county, for the
use of Benjamin Simpson, the messenger to the County
Court of said county, such sum of money as the Levy

Compensation

Court may thrnk proper and just, not exceeding the sum
of one hundred and fifty dollars, as a compensatron
for the servrces of the said Simpson, as messenger as afore
said, from the date of his appointment as such, to the third
Monday in May, eighteen hundred and thirty four, and that
the said sum of money shall be levied, collected, and paid,
to the order of said Simpson, as othei county charges are
levied, collected, and paid, and shall be taken and consider-
ed as a full compensatron for his services rendered during
the period aforesaid, any law to the contrary notwithstand-
ing.
