1834.

Sec 3 And be it enacted, That the said commission-
ers shall cause to be made out a plot of the lot of ground so
surveyed laid out and condemned, to be by them lodged in
the office of the clerk of Worcester cou: ly, as an authentic
evidence of said survey and conderation

Plot

Sec 4 And be it enacted, That the said commissioners,
or a majority of them, shall value and assess the damages
sustarned by any person or persons, whose lands may be
affected by such survey and condemnation, and the damages
sp assessed as aforesaid, together with all the necessary ex
penses incurred for surveying, laying out, and condemning
said lot of grourd, shall be returned by the said commission
ers to the levy court of Worcester county, to be by them
levied and assessed on the assessable property of said
county

Sec 5 And be it enacted, That it shall be the day of
said commissioners or a majority of them to offer the con-
tract for Building the bridge herein before ordered to be
consructed, also to offer the contract for raising, repairing,
or otherwise improvrng the said road on each side of the
said bridge, in such manner as they the said commissioners,
or a majority of them, shall think proper to direct, for the
public safety and convenience, publicly in the town of Bet
lin, after tney shall have given three weeks notice in the
Borderer, puplished in Snow Hill, to the lowest and best

bidder, who shall give bond in a penalty double the amount
of the contract, with Security to be approved by the com-
missioners or a majority of them, for the construction and
completion of said bridge, and the using repairing and im-
proving said road in a durab e and wo I manlike manner

Sec 6 And be it enacted, That it shall be the duty of the
aforesaid commissioners or a majority of them to cause to
be made and executed a good and sufficient foot way across
the stream commonly called Middle Branch where the pub
lic road leading from Lemuel and William Showell's store,
to the dwelling hoase of said William Showel crosses said
stream, and to offer the contract for the making and erect
ing the said footway, in the same manner and at the same
place, and with the same provisions as they are directed

and required to offer the contracts for constructing the
bridge and road, by the fifth section of this act

Sec 7 And be it enacted, That it shall be the duty of
the aforesaid commissioners, or a majority of them, after
contracting for the building and completion of said bridge,
and the raising, repairing and improving said road, and for
