CHAP 202

no farther, and shall have perpetual succession, and by said
corporate name, may sue and be sued, and may have, and
use a common seal, which they shall have power to alter
and renew at their pleasure, and shall have, enjoy, and may
exercise all the powers, rights, and privileges, which oth-
er corporate bodies may lawfully do, for the purposes of this
act

Regulations as-

sumed

Sec 3 And be it enacted, That the mode of apportioning
the stock, the amount to be paid thereon at the time of sub-
scribing, the call for further instalments, the forfeiture of
stock for non pay ment of instalments, the election and con
tinuing the succession of a President and Directors, the
mode of voting and of filling vacancies, the General meet
ing of the stockholders, and manner of calling the same
with their powers, the statements of the affairs of the com
pany, the qualifying of the officers, the powers of the Pre
sident and Directors shall he the same as is described in the
third, fourth, sixth, seventh, eight, ninth, tenth, twelfth and
thirteenth sections of the said act entitled, an act to Incor
porate the Baltimore and Ohio Rail Road Company

Sec 4 And be it enacted, that the President and Direc
tors of the said company shall be, and they are hereby invest
ed with all the rights and powers necessary to the construc-
tion and repair of a Rail Road from the Lateral Blanch of
the Baltimore and Ohio Rail Road to the city of Washing-

ton and connected therewith, commercing near to the point
where the said Lateral Branch crosses the Little Patuxent
and extending up said Little Patuxent, passing by the Sa-
vage Factory for a distance of not more than six miles from
the point of connexion with the said Lateral Rail Road to
the city of Washington, not exceeding sixty six feet wide,
with as many sets of tracts as the said President and Direc
tors or a majority of them may think necessary, and for this
purpose the said President and Directors may have and use
all the powers and privileges and shall be subject to the
same obligations that are provided in the fourteenth, fif-
teenth, sixteenth, seventeenth eighteenth nineteenth,
twentieth, twenty first, twenty second, and twenty third,
sections of the said act entiled, an act to incorporate the
Baltimore and Ohio Rail Road Company

Tolls

Sec 5 And be it enacted, that the President and Di-
rectors shall have power in their discretion, to charge such
tolls for the transportation of passengers, goods, produce,
merchandise, or property of any description, on their said
road, as shall produce a nett revenue not exceeding ten per
