LAWS OF MARYLAND

CHAP. 173

hereby authorised and empowered, to grant to William
Green, of the State of Virginia, the benefit of the several
acts of Assembly, passed for the relief of insolvent debt-
ors, Provided, the said William Green shall, in all other
respects, except that of proving residence, comply
with the requisitions of said Acts of Assembly, and that
he satisfy Paid Court, that he did not come into this State
with the view of obtaining the benefit of said insolvent
laws, and provided also, that the said William Green shall
be compelled to file his petition for the benefit of the said
insolvent laws, previous to his discharge from custody

CHAPTER 173.

An act for the relief of Mary A Abel, formerly Burwell.

Preamble

WHEREAS, it appears to this General Assembly, that a
certain deed, for the purposes therein mentioned, executed
by Mary Ann Burwell to William D Beall, in the month of
April, eighteen hundred and thirty three, was not acknow-
ledged in the manner required by law, to render said deed
valid and effectual, and it also appears that said omission
was the result of accident and mistake, — Therefore,

Deed made valid

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland, That
the said deed, executed as aforesaid, and recorded among
the land records of Washington county, Liber O O, folios
one hundred and twenty five, one hundred and twenty six,
and one hundred and twenty seven, shall be, and the same
is hereby declared to be, of the same validity and effect, to
pass the property and estate, limited and expressed therein,

Proviso

as if such deed had been duly acknowledged and certified
in the manner required by law, Provided, that nothing in
said deed shall be taken to deprive creditors of the said
Mary Ann Burwell, before her marriage with Lewis Abel,
or creditors of the said Abel and wife, since their marriage,
who are creditors for necessaries furnished to their family
use, from satisfying their debts out of the property's con-
veyed
