CHAP. 147.

CHAPTER 147.

An act to authorise the Register of Wills of Anne Arundel
County, to have transcribed and rebound certain Record
Books in his office

Passed Mar 4, 1835

Section 1 Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Ma-
ryland, That the Register of Wills of Anne Arundel coun-
ty be, and he is hereby authorised and empowered to have
transcribed in a correct manner, such, or so much of the
Record Books in his office, containing the provincial re-
cords, and also under bis immediate and personal superin-
tendance, so far as the same may be practicable, to have
re-bound in good substantial manner, so many of said Record
Books as in each case may be deemed necessary and advi-
sable by the Justices of the Orphans Court of Anne Arundel
county

Authority given

Sec. 2. And be it enacted, that the Treasurer of the
Western Shore be, and he is hereby authorised and required
to pay, out of any money in the treasury, not otherwise
appropriated, to the said Register or to his older, the cost
of transcribing and re binding the same, and the reasonable
expenses incurred by the said Register of Wills, in super-
intending the re-binding of said Record Books, as shall be

certified to and allowed by the said Justices of the Orphans
Court, provided, that in no case shall the said Register
claim or receive for transcribing the said records, m re than
eight cents for every one hundred words so transcribed

Limit

Sec 3 And be it enacted, That the said Register shall
make a full return of all records transcribed, books re-bound,
and the expenses attendant the same, to the next General
Assembly of Maryland.
