Sec 4 And be it enacted, That it shall be the duty of the
aforesaid commissioners of the tax for said county, to cause
this act to be inserted not less than once in each of three
successive weeks, in the Caroline Advocate, now published
in the town of Denton, in Caroline county, and also cause
the same to be set up in each election district, at the place
in each where the elections are held, before the first day of
July next, be aforesaid

Compensation

Sec 5 And be it enacted That the printer of the said
paper, called the Caroline Advocate, shall be compensated
for said service, by the levy court of said county

CHAPTER 110.

Passed Feb. 17, 1835

An act to confirm the name of James Bromwell, and Mary
Ann his wife, and their several children, hereinafter named,
of Dorchester County

WHEREAS, James Bromwell, of Dorchester county, hath
set forth by his petition, that he was born out of wedlock,
and that he is sometimes called and known by the name of
James Bromwell, and at other times by the name of John-
son, and that he is married and had children, and he is anx-
ious to have the name of Bromwell confirmed to him, his
wife and children, Therefore

Names confirmed

SECTION 1 Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That the name of the said James Bromwell, and
Mary Ann, his wife, and Thomas, James, John Edward,
William Wesley, and Levin Lake, his children and each of
them, is hereby declared and confirmed to be, James Brom-
well, Mary Ann Bromwell, Thomas James Bromwell, John
Edward Bromwell, William Wesley Bromwell, and Levin
Lake Bromwell, and they and their descendants, and the
descendants of each of them, shall at all times hereafter be
called and known by the name of Bromwell, only, and by
such name shall sue and be sued in any court of law or
equity

Sec 2 And be it enacted, That all securities, promises,
contracts, assurances, deeds and lawful acts whatsoever,
hereafter to be made and done by and to the said James
Bromwell, and Mary Ann, his wife, and Thomas James,
John Edward, William Wesley, and Levin Lake, his chil-
dren, or either of them, by the name of James Bromwell,
Mary Ann Bromwell, Thomas James Bromwell, John Ed-
