TOBACCO INSPECTION,

take, in certain cases; authorising the
issuing of a commission to one person
only to take testimony in causes depending
in Chancery, &c. if the parties
in the cause consent thereto
In cases of application for Divorce;
to provide for taking

Supplement to the act to regulate the
inspection of
Any hogshead of, which has been
previously inspected, &c. may be
broken up and repacked into parcels of
any size, and the same may be exported,
&c.
Captains of vessels, &c. may receive
the same, provided the quantity contained,
&c. does not exceed in weight that
set forth in the original manifest of the
hogshead
The captain who shall take into his
vessel any such parcels, less than a
hogshead, shall when he deposits with
the U. S. collector the original manifests,
etc.; make oath that he believes
the parcel to contain no greater quantity,
The exporter of any such parcels of
tobacco, shall mark them with the
weight they contain, under oath, the
state in which the tobacco was grown,
and the number of the manifest of the
hogshead from which the same may
have been taken
No clerk or other person employed
by any of the inspectors of, shall buy
or in any way deal in, or busy himself
in procuring tobacco to be sold or consigned,
or in leading any vessel with,
etc. under the penalty of $16 for every
hogshead, etc.
Salary of the clerk to each inspector
of, in the city of Baltimore $500
The charge for outage not to be abated
In the city of Annapolis; to establish
