No. 14.
A Resolution relating to a fine imposed by Allegany County
Court, on Van Dunn, for selling liquor without license,
which, after the payment thereof, was remitted by the Governor
and Council.

Resolved by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That the
Treasurer of the Western Shore of Maryland, pay to Richard
Beall, sheriff of Allegany county, the sum of ten dollars,
being the amount of a fine imposed on Van Dunn, in Allegany
county court, at April court eighteen hundred and twenty
eight for selling liquor without license, and paid into the treasury
by said sheriff, but remitted by the Governor and Council
after the payment thereof, by said sheriff.

No. 15.
A Resolution directing the investment in Bank Stock, of the
money in the treasury, due to Montgomery county, as her
portion of the Free School fund.

Resolved by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That the
Treasurer of the Western Shore, be directed to invest in the
stock of such bank in the city of Baltimore, as he may deem
most judicious for the interest of the county, such sum of money
as may be due to Montgomery county, as her portion of
the free school fund, and now lying in the Treasury of the
Western Shore.

No. 16.
A Resolution in favor of Richard Mackall, late one of the
State's Inspectors of Tobacco, in the City of Baltimore.

Resolved by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That the
Treasurer of the Western Shore, be, and he is hereby authorised
and directed, if he shall consider it equitable and
proper, to allow to Richard Mackall, late inspector of Tobacco
in the City of Baltimore, a credit on the State's claim
against said Mackall, of the sum of three hundred and sixty
two dollars and fifty cents, with such interest as may have accrued
on that amount, from the date of its payment by said
Richard Mackall, to Thomas Macgill, as clerk in the inspection
warehouse, to which the said Mackall was attached.
