No. 7.
A Resolution providing for the payment to John McNeill, Junior,
and Philip B. Travilla, their per diem allowance for
attendance at the seat of Government, as Delegates, elect,
from the counties of Allegany and Kent, previously to their
admission to take seats, as Members, in the House of Delegates,
agreeably to its decisions.

Passed Jan. 25, 1830.

Resolved by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That the
Treasurer of the Western Shore be, and he is hereby authorised
and directed to pay to John McNeill, Junior, the sum
of forty-eight dollars, and Philip B. Travilla, the sum of
forty-eight dollars, out of any monies in the Treasury, not
otherwise appropriated; the same being allowed them as their
per diem, for the period they have attended at the seat of
Government, as Delegates elect, from the counties of Allegany
and Kent, previous to their taking their seats, as Members
in the House of Delegates, under the decisions of the said
House.

A Resolution providing for the discharge from imprisonment
in the Gaol of Frederick county, of Jacob Hoffman, Jun.
|
Passed Jan. 27, 1830.
|
Resolved by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That the
Sheriff of Frederick county, be, and he is hereby authorised
and required, to discharge from imprisonment Jacob Hoffman,
Junior, charged with being the father of an illegitimate child,
Provided, he be not in custody for any other offence, or committed
on other process.

No. 9.
Resolutions expressive of the sense of the Legislature, of the
gallant conduct during the late war, of David Geisinger, a
native of this State and a Captain in the United States Navy,
and directing a sword to be presented to him.
|
Passed Jan. 28, 1830.

Resolved unanimously, That the
General Assembly of Maryland
entertain a high sense of the gallantry of David Geisinger,
a native of this state, and a captain in the Navy of the
United States, and who participated in two brilliant and well
fought actions during the late war, both of which terminated
in glorious victory, viz: the action between the United States
|
