to pay out of any monies in the Treasury not otherwise
appropriated, to James Dixion, Esquire, of Frederick county,
such sums as the Governor may deem reasonable, as a compensation
for his services in the prosecution of George Swearingen,
for the murder of his wife.

A Resolution in favor of the legal representatives of Jane Parran,
deceased.
|
|
Resolved by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That the
Treasurer of the Western Shore pay to the legal representatives
of Jane Parran, (deceased) or to their order, the balance
of pension due the said Jane Parran, at the time of her death.

A Resolution in favor of
Cephas W. Benson.
|
|
Resolved by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That the
Treasurer of the Western Shore pay to Cephas W. Benson,
or his order, twenty five dollars, it being the amount of a fine
paid by the said Benson, and afterwards remitted by the
Executive.

No. 6.
A Resolution, with its preamble, in favor of Isaac Covington,
Robert Mitchell, and Henry Franklin, junior; of Worcester
County, releasing them from their obligation, in regard to
the return of certain Rifles belonging to the State, that were
accidentally destroyed by fire.

WHEREAS, It has been represented to
the General Assembly,
that Isaac Covington, Robert Mitchell, and Henry Franklin,
junior, of Worcester county, are jointly bound in a bond
to the state of Maryland, for fifty rifles, and that twenty five
of the said rifles have since been accidentally consumed by
fire; Therefore,

Resolved by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That the
said Isaac Covington, Robert Mitchell, and Henry Franklin,
junior, be released from the obligation of the said bond, as to
the twenty-five rifles consumed as aforesaid.
