                                        CHAPTER 225.

An act for the relief of Elizabeth Martin, of the city of Baltimore.
  CHAP. 225.  

Passed Mar. 1, 1830.
    Section 1.  Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That the said Elizabeth Martin, be and she is hereby
divorced from bed, board, and mutual cohabitation with
her husband, David Martin.
Divorce
    Sec. 2.  And be it enacted, That the said David Martin
shall not be liable for any debt to be hereafter contracted by
the said Elizabeth Martin, nor be entitled to any property
which she now has or may hereafter acquire."
Liability annulled.

                                        CHAPTER 226.

An act to authorise the persons therein named, to bring into this
                                    State, certain Slaves.



Passed Mar. 1, 1830.
    WHEREAS, Thomas Hawkins, late of the state of Alabama,
(deceased,) formerly of Charles county, Maryland, removed
from this state several years since, and carried with him
certain slaves, the property of Eleanor A. E. Smoot, Ann
Hawkins, and Elizabeth Hawkins, his daughters, and of John
W. Smoot; and the said Thomas Hawkins having died during
the last fall, in the state of Alabama, where said slaves now
are,
Preamble.
    Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland, That 
the said John W. Smoot and his wife Ann Hawkins, and Elizabeth
Hawkins, be, and they are hereby authorised and empowered
to bring into this state, for their own use, the said
slaves so removed, and their issues, and such other slaves as
said daughters may be entitled to, by the death of said Thomas
Hawkins their father; Provided, such removal be made
within twelve months from the passage of this act.
Permission granted.

                                        CHAPTER 227.

An act for the benefit of the heirs of John Henderson, late of the
                               city of Annapolis, deceased.



Passed Mar. 1, 1830.
    Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland, That 
John R. Weir, administrator of said Henderson, be, and
he is hereby authorised under the direction and with the
approbation of the Orphans' Court of Baltimore county,
to expend and lay out, of the funds of said estate in his
Improvement authorised.
