            THOMAS KING CARROLL, ESQ. GOVERNOR.                                                                                                                        1829.

by and with the consent of the Council of this state, be,
and he is hereby authorised and required to appoint a suitable
person or persons to represent the State of Maryland at all future
meetings of the stockholders of all joint stock companies,
which have been or may hereafter be incorporated to make
roads or canals, and to vote therein, according to the interests
of the said state in all the proceedings of said company or
companies.
  CHAP. 212.  
    Sec. 2. And be it enacted, That the power given to the
treasurer in the act to which this is a supplement, to make
such appointments, be, and the same is hereby repealed.

                                        CHAPTER 213.

An act for the relief of Henry Marshall, of the City of Baltimore,
                                     an insolvent debtor.



Passed Feb. 27, 1830.
    Section 1.  Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That the commissioners of insolvent debtors for the city
of Baltimore, and Baltimore county court, respectively, be, and
they are hereby authorised on the application of Henry Marshall,
for the benefit of the insolvent laws of this state, to extend
to him the benefit of the said laws, without requiring him
to prove that he has resided for the last two years within the
state of Maryland; Provided nevertheless, that he comply with
all and singular the other requisitions and provisions of said
laws, and provided also, that the said Henry Marshall satisfies
said commissioners that he did not come into this state for the
purpose of obtaining the benefit of said insolvent laws.
Relief granted.

                                        CHAPTER 214.

    An act for the benefit of Thomas Flynn, an Insolvent Debtor.


Passed Feb. 27, 1830.
    Section 1.  Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That the Judges of Anne Arundel county court, or
either of them, or any Justice of the Orphan's Court, be authorised
and required to grant to Thomas Flynn, of the city of
Annapolis, the benefits of the several acts of Assembly, passed
for the relief of the insolvent debtors of this State; Provided,
That the said Thomas Flynn comply with all the provisions
of the said acts of Assembly, except that of proving
residence; And provided also, That the said Thomas Flynn,
shall satisfy the said Judge or Justice of the Orphan's Court,
that he did not come into this State with a view of obtaining
the benefit of the insolvent laws of this State.
