            THOMAS KING CARROLL, ESQ. GOVERNOR.                                                                                                          1829.

    Sec. 8.  And be it further enacted, That when any seller, or buyer
shall believe himself to be aggrieved, by an inspector, either
as it regards quality or quantity, that it shall be lawful for
them to appeal in the following manner to wit:  two disinterested
persons, to be house carpenters, shall be chosen; one
by the seller, and one by the buyer, and should they disagree,
they shall be competent to choose a third person whose
determination shall be final, and the expence thereof, shall be
paid by the party against whom the arbitrators may decide.

                                        CHAPTER 150.

An act to authorise the Levy Court of Frederick County, to
    levy a sum of money, for building a Bridge over Katoctin
    Creek, in said County.



Passed Feb. 23, 1830.
    Section 1.  Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That the levy court of Frederick county, be, and they
are hereby authorised and required, at their next annual meeting,
to levy upon the assessable property of said county, a
sum of money not exceeding one thousand dollars to build a
substantial bridge over Katoctin creek, at or near the place
where the said creek crosses the road leading from Frederick-town,
through New-town (Trap) to Harpers Ferry.
Levy $1000.
    Sec. 2.  And be it enacted, That Patrick McGill, senior
Levin West and John Biser, be, and they are hereby nominated
and appointed commissioners to contract for the building
of said bridge, on the most reasonable terms; whose duty it
shall be, after making said contract, to report the same to the
levy court, and when said bridge is completed, to report to
said court the cost of said bridge, together with all other proceedings
under this law.
    Commissioners to

    Sec. 3.  And be it enacted, That said levy court shall allow
the said commissioners a reasonable compensation for
their services, which allowance together with the said one
thousand dollars, shall be levied and collected as other county
charges are, and be paid to said commissioners, or their order.

    Sec. 4.  And be it enacted, That a law, passed at December
session, eighteen hundred and twenty-eight chapter one
hundred and forty-six, be, and the same is hereby repealed.
Repeal.

                                        CHAPTER 151.

An act to provide for the counting of Staves and Heading in
                                           this State.



Passed Feb. 26, 1830.
    Section 1.  Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That the count of all staves and heading, throughout
Count regulated.
