and when collected, to pay over the same to the said

CHAPTER 109.
An additional supplement to the act, entitled, an act empowering
the Levy Court of Cecil county, at their discretion, to levy
a sum of money to build a bridge over Octorara Creek, in
said county, at or near Samuel Rowlands Store, passed at
December session eighteen hundred and twenty one, chapter
one hundred and twelve.

Section 1. Be it enacted by
the General Assembly of Maryland,
That the commissioners of Cecil county be, and they
are hereby authorised, to levy on the assessable property of
said county, in addition to the sum authorised by the act, to
which this is a supplement, a sum of money not exceeding
four hundred dollars, for the purpose herein after mentioned;
Provided, they do not levy for more than two hundred
dollars for the said sum in any one year, and the said commissioners
are hereby directed to appropriate one hundred and
fifty dollars of the said sum to discharge the extra expenses
already accrued in building of the bridge, near Samuel Rowlands
store, and pay over the remaining two hundred and fifty
dollars to the commissioners, appointed in virtue of this act,
who shall expend the same if necessary in having the said
bridge roofed and weather boarded; provided the commissioners
of the said county, shall deem the same expedient.

How applied.

Sec. 2. And be it enacted,
That John W. Thomas, James
Gerry and Carvell Cooley, be, and they are hereby appointed
commissioners, with power to contract with and employ any
person or persons, to roof and weatherboard said bridge, and
it shall be their duty after its completion, to settle their accounts
with the commissioners of said county, and they shall
be entitled to receive ten dollars each for their services.
