1829.                                                                    LAWS OF MARYLAND.

  CHAP. 71.  
and she is hereby divorced from bed, board and mutual cohabitation
with her husband James Sollers.
Claim annulled.
    Sec. 2.  And be it enacted, That the said James Sollers
shall not, by virtue of his marriage with the said Hester Ann
Sollers, be authorised to have or claim any right or interest in
the estate, real, personal or mixed, of the said Hester Ann
Sollers, to be by her acquired after the passage of this act;
nor shall Hester Ann Sollers be authorised to have or claim
any right or interest in the estate, real, personal or mixed, of
said James Sollers, to be by him acquired after the passage
of this act.
Feme sole.
    Sec. 3.  And be it enacted, That the said Hester Ann Sollers
shall have and exercise all the rights, privileges and immunities,
and be subject to all the legal responsibilities of a
feme sole, in the same manner she would have been, if she
had never been married.
Guardian.
    Sec. 4.  And be it enacted, That the aforesaid Hester Ann
Sollers be, and she is hereby declared to be entitled to the
custody and guardianship of her child or children by her present
marriage, during his, her or their minority.
Liability annulled.
    Sec. 5.  And be it enacted, That the said James Sollers shall
not be liable for any debt to be hereafter contracted by the
said Hester Ann Sollers.

                                        CHAPTER 72.

An act to provide for the re-building or repairing a certain
                                bridge therein mentioned.

Bankers' Ford.
    WHEREAS, it has been represented to this General Assembly
that it would tend greatly to the accommodation and convenience
of the inhabitants and Prince George's and Anne
Arundel counties, and to the public generally, if the bridge
over the Patuxent river, at Rankin's Ford, was rebuilt or repaired,
therefore,
    Levy on Prince
Georges and Anne
Arundel.
    Section 1.  Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That the justices of the levy court of Prince George's
county, and the Commissioners for Anne Arundel county, are
hereby authorised and empowered to assess and levy a sum of
money, not exceeding one hundred dollars, on the assessable
property in their respective counties, at the time of laying their
next county rates, together with the commission for collecting
the same, which said assessment shall be made, levied, collected
and paid to the commissioners appointed by this act, or to
their order, as soon as the same shall become payable by law.
    Commissioners
named and authorised.
    Sec. 2.  And be it enacted, That the following persons are
appointed commissioners for rebuilding or repairing said
bridge, to wit:  on the part of Prince George's county, Joseph
