                                        CHAPTER 70.

               An act to make public a Road therein named.
  CHAP. 70.  

Passed Feb. 11, 1830.
    Section 1.  Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That from and after the passage of this act, the Road
in Somerset county which was opened by the Levy Court of
said county for a public road, to lead from Salisbury to the
line of the Delaware State, through the lands of Josiah Bayly,
Benjamin H. Bird, William Wailes, Richard Walter and
others; and afterwards declared by the county court of said
county not to be public, from an informality in the proceedings
of said Levy Court, be and the same is hereby made public,
and shall forever hereafter be taken and considered a public
road of said county, according to the location thereof made by
the authority of said Levy Court, and by the said Court received
and recorded among their proceedings.
Road made public.
    Sec. 2.  And be it enacted, That the said Levy Court of
Somerset county, shall as soon as convenient after the passage
of this act, appoint two persons to value and assess any and
every damage, which any and every person or persons claiming
damages on account of said road running through his,
her or their lands, have or may sustain by means of opening
and making public the said road, and which said damages, together
with such allowance as the said Levy Court shall think
proper to allow to the said two assessors for their services,
shall be levied on the assessable property of said county, for
the use of the respective persons entitled to the same for their
damages or services, aforesaid.
Ascertain and pay
damages.
    Sec. 3.  And be it enacted, That the said assessors, before
they proceed to value and assess the damages aforesaid, shall
take an oath, to be administered by any justice of the peace
of said county, that they will honestly, faithfully and diligently,
and without favor or partiality for, or prejudice against any
one, discharge the duties imposed upon them by this act, to
the best of their skill and judgment.
Oath prescribed.
    Sec. 4.  And be it enacted, That the said assessors shall make
a return of their proceedings to the Levy Court of said county,
or their clerk, within ninety days after their appointment.

An act for the relief of Hester Ann Sollers, of the city of
                                         Baltimore.



Passed Feb. 11, 1830.
    Section 1.  Be it enacted, by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Hester Ann Sollers of the city of Baltimore, be,
