tors, shall be at the same rates, and nay be collected by
them, in the same manner, and with the same rights, as is
given and provided for in the fifteenth section of the act of
assembly passed at December session eighteen hundred and
seventeen, chapter ninety-seven, and in fixing the tolls on
said bridge, as provided for in the act to which this is a sup-
plement, a reference shall be had in the ascertainment of
the same to the said rates of tolls.

CHAP. 119.

Sec. 7. And be it enacted, That before this act shall have
effect, the assent to the same shall be obtained of the presi-

CHAP. CXX.

An Act to incorporate in the Town of Boonsborough, in Wash-
ington County, a Company to be called The Boomborough
Fire Company.

Passed Mar 7, 1829

WHEREAS it is represented to the general assembly of Ma-
ryland, by the petition of sundry citizens of the town of
Boonsborough, that a fire company is much desired in said
town; therefore,

Preamble

Sec. 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Ma-
ryland, That Henry Neyman, Doctor Ezra Slifer, Henry
Hamilton, Henry Beterbenner, John B. Welty, Joseph
Weast, David Brookhart, Septimus Stevens, George Locher,
John Deitrick, Charles Holler, Jacob Smith, Abijah Smith,
John Keedy, John A. Benty, George Strause, John A. Wa-
goner, Conrad Thompson, Conrad Dagenhart, William Da-
vis, Elias Welch, John Wagner, John Brantrees and Lewis
Fletcher, and each other persons as now are, or hereafter
may become members, shall be, and they are hereby created
and made a body politic and corporate, by the name, style
and title, of The Boonsborough Fire Company, and by that
name shall have continual succession, and capable in law
to sue and be sued, plead and be impleaded, defend and be
defended, in any court of law or equity in this state, or else-
where, and to make, have and use, one common seal, and
the same to alter or renew at their pleasure; and generally
to do, perform and execute, all and every matter and thing
as to them shall or may appertain to do.

Sec. 2. And be it enacted, That the said incorporated
company shall consist of the following officers, viz. A Pre-
sident, Vice-President, Secretary, Treasurer, Principal En-
gineer, two Assistant Engineers, Hookmen, Axemen, Pro-
perty Guards, Lanemen, Laddermen and Enginemen, to be
elected by the members of said company, as soon as any
twenty or more of them shall assemble.
