last place of abode within two clays next after the delivery
of each of the said warrants to him under the penalty of
Fifty Dollars; said Board of Supervisors of Elections shall
likewise cause similar warrants to be delivered to such clerks
or other officers of election as are now or may be hereafter
required by law. The compensation for each of said judges
of election shall be Five Dollars for each election, and no
more, including the election held on the Fourth Monday of
March, 1920.

161-A2. The Supervisors of Election of the City of Hagers-
town shall receive an annual salary of one hundred ($100)
dollars, commencing as of the year 1919-1920, to be paid by
the Mayor and Council of Hagerstown.

CHAPTER 493.

AN ACT to permit the Maryland Tobacco Growers' Associa-
tion, a corporation, incorporated by an Act of the General
Assembly of Maryland, the same being Chapter 223 of
the Acts of 1906, to occupy such space in the State To-
bacco Warehouse as the said Association and the Inspector
of the State Tobacco Warehouse may deem necessary
for its headquarters and salesrooms.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That the Maryland Tobacco Growers' Association,
a corporation incorporated by an Act of the General Assem-
bly of Maryland, the same being Chapter 223 of the Acts
of 1906, be and they are hereby authorized to occupy, without
charge, such space in the State Tobacco Warehouse, for the
purpose of its salesrooms and headquarters, as in the judg-
ment of the said Maryland Tobacco Growers' Association and
the Inspector of the State Tobacco Warehouse may be deemed
necessary, provided that no other tobacco is there sold by
it except that belonging to the members of the Association.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act is hereby
declared to be an emergency law necessary for the imme-
diate preservation of the public safety and being passed upon
a yea and nay vote, supported by three-fifths of all the mem-
bers elected to each of the two Houses of the General Assem-
bly, the same shall take effect from the date of its passage.
