for the years 1919 and 1920 to be paid upon a per capita basis
with a minimum of $1,500; and

WHEREAS, These three hospitals are caring for persons of
substantially the same class and it was the intention of the
Board of State Aid and Charities and the Governor of the
State to put them upon the same basis in providing for their
support with a minimum payment; and

WHEREAS, In the Budget as finally approved by the Gov-
ernor and submitted to the Legislature of 1918, the recom-
mendation of the Board of State Aid and Charities as to the
appropriation for the Havre de Grace Hospital and St. Mary's
Hospital, was fully approved and adopted, and whereas it was
the intention of the Governor of the State of Maryland to
treat the Calvert County Hospital in the same way as the other
two but through inadvertence the Calvert County Hospital
was classed among the group of hospitals receiving only a per
diem sum instead of being put in the class with the Havre de
Grace and St. Mary's Hospitals; therefore to correct the in-
justice done the Calvert County Hospital and the clerical
error in the Budget of 1918;

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the Comptroller of the Treasury be and he is hereby
authorized and directed to pay to the Calvert County Hospital
of Calvert County, Maryland, a sum not exceeding $2,000 for
the use of the said hospital upon a per capita basis of $1.60
per day for the year 1920, as provided in the Budget of 1918.
not to be less, however, than $1,500 for each year.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1920.

CHAPTER 411.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact with amendments Section
167-C of Article 15 of the Code of Public Local Laws of
Maryland, title "Kent County," sub-title "Roads," as
amended by Chapter 304 of the Acts of 1916.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Section 167-C of Article 15 of the Code of Public
Local Laws of Maryland, title "Kent County," sub-title
