in a period not exceeding thirty years and to be issued within
sixty days from the passage of this Act and dated September
1, 1920. The bonds hereby authorized shall be sold by the
County Commissioners for cash, at public auction at the Court
House door to the highest bidder after due advertisement in
at least one newspaper published in Baltimore City and one
newspaper published in Prince George's County. For the
purpose of redeeming said bonds at maturity and for the
payment of interest thereon said County Commissioners are
required to levy annually upon the taxable property of
Prince George's County within the 13th or Kent Election
District of said county and no other, the necessary amount
and to establish a sinking fund in some bank in a separate
account and to pay therein annually the amount necessary
to provide for the redemption of said bonds at the maturity
thereof.

CHAPTER 381.
AN ACT to provide for the opening of certain schools with the
singing of the "Star Spangled Banner."
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That it shall be the duty of every principal, head-master,
dean or other person in charge of any grammar school, high
school, normal school, private school, preparatory school, col-
lege or university in the State of Maryland, giving an aca-
demic course, who have morning, afternoon, or evening exer-
cises or other gatherings, to open such exercises or gatherings,
on at least one day of such school week, whether morning,
afternoon or evening, with the singing of the "Star Spangled
Banner;" provided, that nothing in this Act shall apply to
professional schools.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted. That this Act shall take
effect from the first day of June, 1920.

AN ACT to authorize the creation of a State debt in the ag-
gregate amount of two hundred and fifty thousand
