105. The Town Commissioners of La Plata may, as often
as they may deem advisable, cause an assessment to be made
of all the real and personal property within said town of La
Plata, or the corporate limits thereof by their clerk, and the
said Town Commissioners may levy a tax thereon not exceed-
ing twenty-five cents on the hundred dollars worth of assess-
able property.
SEC. 7. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1920.

CHAPTER 37
AN ACT to direct the County Commissioners of Charles
County to refund to R Lee Manning thirty-two dollars
and thirty-four cents ($32.34), paid in error by him into
the County Treasury as county taxes and to make levy
for the same.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the County Commissioners of Charles County be and
they are hereby directed to refund to R. Lee Manning thirty-
two dollars and thirty-four cents ($3234), paid in error by
him into the County Treasury as county taxes for the years
1912, 1913, 1914, 1915 and 1916, and they are hereby directed
to levy in the next succeeding lew for taxes, a sum sufficient
to pay said R. Lee Manning the above mentioned amount.
SECTION 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1920.

CHAPTER 38
AN ACT to authorize, empower and direct the Road Conimis-
sioners of Charles County, Maryland, or the duly consti-
tuted road authorities of said Charles County, to erect
a bridge over Mattawoman Run, on the public road lead-
ing from the store of John W Waring to La Plata.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the Road Commissioners of Charles County, or
the duly constituted authorities of said Charles County, as the
