CHAPTER 330.

AN ACT to except Carroll County from the operation of Sec-
tion 231 of Article 93 of the Code of Public General
Laws of Maryland and to fix the pay of the Judges of the
Orphans' Court of the said Carroll County to $6.00 per
diem, for every day's attendance upon the session of the
Court.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Carroll County be excepted from operation of Sec-
tion 231 of Article 93 of the Code of Public General Laws of
Maryland.

SEC. 2. The Judges of the Orphans' Court of Carroll
County shall each receive the sum of $6.00 for every day's
attendance upon the session of the said Orphans' Court for
Carroll County, to be paid by the county at the end of. each
and every quarter after the qualification of said Judges.

CHAPTER 331.

AN ACT to repeal Chapter 508 of the Acts of 1916 of the Gen-
eral Assembly of Maryland, entitled "An Act to provide
for the assessment, valuation and taxation of judgments
in Carroll County, Maryland, for county purposes only,
and to provide for the collection of the tax on same.''

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Chapter 508 of the Acts of 1916 of the General
Assembly of Maryland, entitled "An Act to provide for the
assessment, valuation and taxation of judgments in Carroll
County, Maryland, for county purposes only, and to provide
for the collection of the tax on same," be and the same is
hereby repealed.

CHAPTER 332.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact with amendments Section 187
of Article 81 of the Annotated Code of Maryland, title
"Revenue and Taxes," sub-title "Tax on Mortgages,"
by abolishing the tax on mortgages in Carroll and Mont-
gomery Counties.
