Easton is hereoy authorized, in its discretion, to provide by
ordinance for the payment of said assessments in instalments,
any deferred payments to bear interest from such time as
said ordinance may provide.

SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from and after June 1, 1920.

CHAPTER 28.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact with amendments Section 135
of Offutt's Code of the Public Local Laws of Baltimore
County, published in 1916, and to repeal Sections 116 and
117 of said Code, title "County Commissioners," chang-
ing the number, of County Commissioners of Baltimore
County, and providing for their election.
SECTION ]. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Section 115 of Offutt's Code of the Public Local
Laws of Baltimore County, published in 1916, be and the
same is hereby repealed and re-enacted with amendments so
as to read as follows, to wit:

SECTION 115. Ou and after the expiration of the term
for which the present incumbents were elected, there shall be
three County Commissioners of Baltimore County who shall
hold office for the term of four years and shall be .eligible for
re-election. They shall be elected at the General Election
next preceding the expiration of the term of the present in-
cumbents. They shall each receive an annual salary of
twenty-four hundred dollars and no more for any purpose
whatsoever, payable monthly by the Treasurer of said Comi-
ty; and they are required to meet for the transaction of pub-
lic business, at their office at Towson, on Tuesday, Wednes-
day and Thursday of each week, and as much oftener as a
proper discharge of their official duties may require; and they
shall meet daily from the first Tuesday in March in each year
until the annual levy is made. Said Board of County Com-
missioners shall perform all the duties of the Highways Com-
mission of Baltimore County, and shall have all and singular
the powers and authority conferred upon the Highways Com-
mission of Baltimore County by Chapter 465 of the Acts of
1904 and the several amendments and supplements thereto.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That Sections 116 and
117 of Offutt's Code of the Public Local Laws of Baltimore
County, published in 1916, be and the same are hereby re-
pealed.
