deprive said corporation of any rights, powers or privileges
now possessed by it and not in any manner inconsistent with
existing provisions of law.

SEC. 3. Be it further enacted, That the directors of said
corporation at the time of any such conversion, provided they
shall have become stockholders therein, shall continue to act
in that capacity until the annual meeting of stockholders held
during the month of January next succeeding. Any director
failing to become a stockholder shall forthwith resign and his
successor shall thereupon be elected by the other members of
the Board of. Directors.

SEC. 4. Be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
on the first day of June, 1920.

CHAPTER 312.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact with amendment Section 159-G
of Article 22 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Mary-
land, title "Washington County," sub-title "Hagers-
town,'' and to add a new section to said Article 22 of the
Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland, title "Washing-
ton County," sub-title "Hagerstown," said new section
to provide for a general registration of the qualified voters
of Hagerstown, Maryland, and to follow immediately
after Section 159-1-2, and to be known as Section 159-1-3.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Section 159-G- of Article 22 of the Code of Public
Local Laws of Maryland, title "Washington County," sub-
title "Hagerstown," be and the same is hereby repealed and
re-enacted so as to read as follows:

SEC. 159-G. The Mayor shall cause the books to be pre-
pared at the expense of the City of Hagerstown, which shall be
necessary for the use of the respective officers of registration
for the registration of the names and facts required by this
Article to be registered; there shall be thus provided for the
purpose aforesaid two registries of voters for each ward in the
City of Hagerstown; said registries of voters shall be uniform
in their general character and shall each be of sufficient size
for the uses for which it is intended, each of the said regis-
tries of voters shall be so arranged as to admit of the alpha-
